The Power of Binding and Loosening

 By the Grace of God

I have taught about binding and loosening several times. However, I have not taught on just how important binding and loosening is to your walk with the Lord.

Matthew 16:19    And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Jesus said to Peter, I am giving you the keys to the kingdom of Heaven and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven… whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.

By these words Jesus conferred on Peter what was the most tremendous authority. Authority that is to be exercised on earth, but effective in Heaven.

The reason Jesus conferred this authority on peter is because Jesus knew it would be needed.

This encourages me to believe that if someone like Peter needed this knowledge, certainly the rest of us will need it too. Especially in this twisted world that we live in today.

Guess what? Jesus conferred the same power on us. Confer means to give or bestow…

Matthew 18:18-20    Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

¹⁹ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

He repeats the same promise and extends it to all believers who meet the conditions by agreement and believing.

He is saying, I can guarantee this truth, whatever you imprison bind or allow, whatever you set free, or loose, God will set free or loose.

I can guarantee again that if two of you agree on anything here on earth my father will accept it. Where two of three have come together in my name, I am there among them. The spirit of truth…

The word agree in Greek is subpoena which gives us the English word symphony. It doesn’t mean a mere intellectual agreement; it means musical harmony.

If two of you can harmonize, agree together in one accord, in touching anything that you ask, it will be done. This is a harmony in the spirit, not just a mental decision about an item on a prayer list.

Then Jesus goes on to say, where two or three are gathered together in my name. When two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name it always magnifies the divine power of God according to the things given to us that pertain to life and godliness.

I use the Word led together instead of gathered together because this action of coming together demands a leader, and the leader is the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:14   ¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Jesus is speaking about believers brought together by the Holy Spirit around the focus of the person of Jesus Christ, represented by his name.

He is saying when you’re led together by my spirit in my name and you can harmonize, count on my presence.

There is where the authority is, the exercising of the authority depends upon the leading of the Holy Spirit and being so related to our fellow believers that we can harmonize with them or agree.

When you pray, be sure you are praying your prayer with biblical knowledge as to what you want to be manifested.

You can only bind on earth what has already been bound in heaven, but it still places the responsibility upon us. Why? Because until we pray the binding is not effective. It requires earth action to make Heavens decree effective.

We are given the responsibility for what goes on in Heaven. It is absolutely staggering that we so easily adopt the attitude that we are waiting for God to act.

The truth is, God is waiting for us to act. In fact, He has been waiting a very long time.

We say Lord show me what you want done and I will go along with it… but the Lord is saying, on the contrary you tell me what you intend to do and I will go along with that.

You can see that it is… what so ever you bind on earth that word ye is We… he is talking about us. He is saying you make the decision and I will go along with it. This authority is only given to those who are in right fellowship with God.

God has built a fence around his delegated authority, as long as you are not right in your personal relationship with God, there is no way in. For this to work we must have a good relationship with God.

Ephesian 2:8     For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

We must be full of Gods grace because his grace is sufficient for our lives. God’s grace has already provided salvation that was manifested through faith.

The gospel of grace makes everything available to those whosoever will believe. Healing, prosperity, deliverance, salvation and Born again, only manifested through faith that grace provided.

Something awesome happened the day we were born again. The day we were born again, Jesus took away the old man, and gave us a new creation.

This new creation He gave us is fully equipped with everything that was finished at the cross. When God created us, he invested everything you would ever need, for life and godliness.

Eph 1:3   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Every spiritual blessing is already inside you, most of the things you pray for you already have. At this time when you made Jesus Lord of your life, your life was transformed from natural to divine or supernatural.

Supernatural wisdom and knowledge were invested in you by discerning of the word by the Holy Spirit. Everything God has being a child of God through Christ Jesus belongs to you.

Grace through the cross made this available. Now we have the keys of heaven to unlock all these privileges.

Withdrawing is something that most Christians have a problem with, even though everything has been made available through grace and the cross. We tend to withdraw or not accept the power and authority we have been given.

Your healing is already in you, prosperity, deliverance, salvation is already in you. This is part of the finish work of Jesus Christ, and through this great grace, this awesome love and his unmerited favor, he released through His grace, this power and his authority for your salvation through his shed blood.

We need to get our faith to grab ahold of what God has already done. Instead of using our faith to try to get God to do something He has already done.

It’s just a matter of bringing into manifestation what has already been done.

2^nd Peter 1:3-4   According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:


Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and Godliness.

Through the knowledge of Him, that called us to glory

And are given to us exceeding, great and precious promises.

You need to change your thinking, if you’re going to change your life.


3^rd John 2   Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

As your soul prospers… above all things

Your soul is your thinking part, or your mind, that’s where the battle is. Right believing produces right living: Christianity is right believing when you believe right you will do right.

Right believing comes by faith in Christ Jesus, and the word of God… Faith is a gift of God, what grace provided can only be manifested through faith.

There is a door that divides the spiritual unseen world, from this seen physical world, the place of manifestation.

We are trying to get what is in the unseen world to manifest itself, or show up in this seen world, the natural physical world

Nothing shows up in this seen world without going through this door of faith.

It is through faith we get saved, through faith that salvation has already been made available through grace…

Everything that is going to manifest its self in this physical world has to go through the door of faith.

You have to work in agreement with what you say you believe

What you say and what you do must be in agreement with what grace has already provided for you.

Under pressure you will speak what you believe. When you get to the point that you’re not moved by what you see and don’t consider things by what you see then you know that you believe it.


2^nd Corinthians 4:18    While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

When you consider the problem more than you consider the promise, you know you don’t believe it.

When you believe with your heart, you believe against your physical senses.

What you believe in, you will support and you will give to, the church.

God did not create you and put you here to worry how am I going to pay my rent, light bill, and how am I going to buy food.

We don’t have time to worry about the things that has already been done.

We need to lay hands on the sick, cast out devils and get ready for the revival that is coming to the Church.


Philemon 6   That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus

Christ in you, the hope of glory, he will meet your demands according to the deposit he has put in you. By the manifestation of His promise.

Question:   How do I withdraw what is already been done?

The gospel of grace makes everything available to those whosoever will believe.

Grace is the power of God that creates blessings. Stop trying to earn what has already been provided.

Living in lack is not the will of God. You are walking around with an account that is a full deposit, everything you will ever need in life.

We have depended on the worlds way so long to take care of things in our lives Until we haven’t taken any time to understand how to tap into Gods way.

What happens when the worlds way doesn’t work anymore? We must learn how to manifest and to withdraw, what has been deposited inside of us.

Grace supplies the need; our need is manifested through faith. It is when we believe it is already been done that causes the door of blessings to manifest

The spiritual unseen world, to the physical seen world, this place of manifestation

When the devil tells you that you don’t have what is promised, remind him of Isaiah 53:5


If you go to Lowes to purchase a new refrigerator, the store will not sell you the display it has on the floor. You have to decide which one you want to buy.

They will then give you a receipt that says paid in full. You take this to the warehouse and the receipt will put a demand on the purchased refrigerator.

Once something is paid in full it belongs to you for the taking. Even though it has been paid for, if you don’t take it you won’t get it.

This is the way it is with Jesus and grace; we must walk through that door of faith and demand what we know has been paid in full.

SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS

We have the tendency to believe that we are humans having a spiritual experience, but the truth is we are spirits having a human experience.

The bible is Gods will for your personal life. It is a spiritual book wrote to spiritual people.

We keep thinking we are natural humans in a natural world. The problem is we are not of this world.

John 17:14   ¹⁴ I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Because of spiritual blindness we are not getting our healing or our prayers answered.

Jeremiah 5:21   ²¹ Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not

Even though we have eyes and see and ears to hear, if you don’t have understanding of the truth of Gods word which come from the Holy Spirit then Gods truth is of no effect. This is called spiritual blindness.

Isaiah 42:20   ²⁰ Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

We see but don’t really see because our ears are closed to Gods truth, we can hear but are not able to hear the true word of God.

The reason for this is we are trying to understand something that is supernatural and spiritual with our natural eyes and ears.

Ezekiel 12:1-2   12 The word of the Lord also came unto me, saying,

² Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

If you are living in the middle of a rebellious heart, you have eyes to see and do not see, ears to hear and do not hear. Rebellion will cause spiritual blindness to the truth.

When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior we are recreated and not of this world. We become in that second that we receive Jesus as savior recreated and we are no longer of this world. We have become transformed from the natural to the supernatural. To be transformed means we have supernaturally been changed by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.

The Holy Spirit was sent from God to be our spiritual teacher. We are transformed with His teaching by the renewing of our minds to the perfect will of God.

By believing and trusting God at is word, the Holy Spirit will guide us into righteousness with discernment and understanding to do what is right before God.

He will open your eyes and ears to the truth and the truth will set you free. It will break the chains of spiritual blindness.

Hosea 4:6   ⁶ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

This is most likely why we are not getting our prayers manifested, the lack of knowledge. Knowledge and wisdom and discernment are always the work of the Holy Spirit.

Lack of knowledge and spiritual understanding will cause spiritual blindness, and stop the healing process in one’s life.

Healing mentioned in the word doesn’t just mean one’s body, it also means your soul which is made up of your mind, your will, your emotion and your spirit.

Romans 8:6-7   ⁶ For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

⁷ Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

The carnal mind cannot please God because it is always chasing the flesh and is not working in the Spirit.

Psalms 103:3   ³ Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

God forgave us on the cross. It is our job to repent and accept that he forgives all of our iniquities and heals all our diseases.

Psalms 107:20   ²⁰ He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

He sent His Word, (Jesus) and healed them all and kept them from their destructions.

Why are we not receiving our healing of the body soul and spirit?

It is because we keep doing the same thing the Jewish people did, they failed at trying to do good to get good. That is under the law. We live under grace.

We Christians are not Gods chosen people living under the law. We are Gods called people living under grace.

Genesis 15:6   ⁶ And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Abraham believed and was considered as righteousness and was blessed. God made a non-Jewish people righteous by faith in God.

If and when we believe, we will be blessed. Spiritually, mentally, and physically. Jesus was God in heaven and also on earth.

God made promises to Abraham and his seed. God said to your descendant (singular) and that one person is Christ Jesus.

These blessings only come through faith, through the Cross that Jesus died on by which we can have the spirit that God promised. We receive this promise by faith.

Christ did this so that Gods blessings that he promised to Abraham could come to the non-Jewish people.

John 15:4-5   ⁴ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

⁵ I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

We are not the root of the tree we have been grafted into the tree by receiving what the Jews were offered.

The law came 430 years after the promise to Abraham. What was the law for?

It was to show the people the wrong they were doing. It continued until the “Special” descendant of Abraham came, Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:19   ¹⁹ Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

The law was given by angels who used Moses for a mediator to give the law to men. God himself gave the ten commandments to Moses.

The Law was the master teacher. Jesus was a Jew, lived as a Jew and lived by and fulfilled the law.

After the cross we were made righteous with God through faith by accepting His son Jesus and Jesus’ death bridged the gap between God and man.

THE GARDEN

Now grace has come and we are no longer under the Law. We are now living under the new covenant of grace.

Galatians 3:26-29   ²⁶ For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

²⁹ And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The law was natural. God’s grace is supernatural. We keep thinking we have to do good to be good, that way of thinking is under the law, not under grace.

2 Corinthians 12:9   ⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Gods grace is sufficient, it is always enough. In your weakness His power is made perfect in you.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2   28 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

² And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

Under the law if you did good you were blessed

Deuteronomy 28:58-61   ⁵⁸ If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God;

⁵⁹ Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

⁶⁰ Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

⁶¹ Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

This was all under the Law. After the cross, by accepting His son we are under grace. If we try to live according to the law then we will reap the law. Let us not be spiritually blind to the truth. We are saved by grace and live under grace, not the Law.

SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY

SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY

If we want the supernatural promises and blessings of God to manifest in our lives we must stop thinking in the natural realm.

We don’t live by the natural world’s way, so why would we make spiritual decisions using the ways of the world.

We are reborn into the supernatural things of God by the renewing of our mind.

If you want your today and tomorrow to be different from your yesterday stop thinking that God can’t, God won’t, and probably never will. Gods thoughts for us are good. He wants the best for his children.

Start confessing God can, God will. Stop blaming God for everything that doesn’t go along with our small way of thinking.

Matthew 10:7-8   ⁷ And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

⁸ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

He didn’t ask them t pray, he told them to go and heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers and cast out devils.

When Jesus said it is finished, it meant nothing according to the word was left undone.  He paid in full for it all.

3 John 1:2   Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God works through His word through faith, grace and the spiritual laws that He has set into place, according to His will, which is His word.

If you are a believer, have faith; believe God will do what He says he will do.

Then you have the authority to command healing, prosperity, and victory over evil spirits as well as the devil.

1 Timothy 4:11 These things command and teach.

Command to lead or to exercise authority.

Demand Demanding and or asking a request made with authority.

If you don’t command healing to come; it won’t come; if you don’t command prosperity to come, it won’t happen.

We have been authorized to use Gods power. Under our authority to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out devils.

Matthew 16:19   ¹⁹ And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Keys are to unlock what is bound, to bind is to hold or restrain, loose means freedom from restraint or from what is bound.

We bind first, then Loose what Christ made available for us at the cross. We bind what is hurting us then we loose our healing. All of our blessings come from heaven.

When you walk in authority, you will see things happen. But nothing can leave heaven until it leaves earth first as we speak it into existence.

Mark 16:16-17   ¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

To be damned is to be condemned to eternal punishment, as to Hell.

¹⁷ And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

¹⁸ They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

We are to minister healing to people. We are Gods servants on earth, we are to serve.

Even though healing and prosperity is the will of the father, and he has authorized you to do it, if you don’t use this authority and do it, it won’t come.

There is so much religion in church today that they, at times, misrepresent God.

Religion and most churches say this: nothing happens without Gods direct or indirect approval.

What they mean by that is God is either causing it to happen or allowing it to happen. This is not what the word teaches.

It has been repeated over and over in our religious circles and in it has been implanted in our mindset for many years.

This just gives people excuses and frees them from all personal responsibility by praying, Lord if it be your will, please heal this person.

1 Peter 2:24   ²⁴ Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

They also pray save this marriage. Then if the marriage is saved or a person is healed; it’s great. But if it doesn’t work, then they say it must not have been Gods will.  This kind of thinking and praying is so wrong.

This way of thinking says, we have no responsibility or accountability on the matter at all.

 It is easy to say, if it is your will for them to be healed, then praise God, and if not, it is all on you Lord.  That is not FAITH.

That is an easy way for us not to be accountable, and yet God gave us authority, and his authorization to use his power of attorney to execute His will in the earth.

Taking the easy way out is just wrong. It takes us out of the picture, and that is not what God did, He put us in the picture, at creation.

We have authority in three areas. In heaven: in earth. And beneath the earth. We have authority over all demonic powers.

Matthew 28:18   ¹⁸ And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Remember the devil knows who you are in Christ Jesus.

Salvation is available: healing is available: and prosperity is available. The only thing is that people refuse to believe and accept it. We as Gods people need to command it.

The will of God doesn’t automatically come to pass. You have a choice.

Acts 16: 30-31   ³⁰ And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Its Gods will for every man and woman to be saved, but they have to make a decision to do so.

Because you get saved, then when they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, they will get saved.

There is so much misrepresentation of God in the church today. False doctrine is sending people to hell every day. Like teaching that there are more ways to Heaven or salvation than Jesus Christ.


John 14:6   ⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me


Here’s what has to be done in this day and time. We must preach and teach the true gospel in order for people to be set free from evil demonic wrong teachings.

Matthew 7:15   ¹⁵ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Not to get into religion or tradition, we have to make sure the true, over the top good news reaches people, so they can make godly decisions.

People say, if its Gods will they will be healed whether I pray for them or not, or saved whether I pray or not… wrong.]

If someone doesn’t minister to the unsaved, they probably won’t get saved or healed.

Romans 10:13-17   ¹³ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

¹⁴ How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher, or teacher or any believer?

¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written. How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

¹⁷ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If they are going to get saved, we are to do what he told us to do.

We have to minister salvation to the people, God has made everything available, and God needs us to minister to people who are in need.

Our Job is to minister, or command or speak that into the lives of people that need it.

Where salvation is concerned, you have the commission to minister salvation into the lives of people who are not saved.

Same with healing, we have the commission and authority to minister healing, to command healing in the lives of people that need it.

If and when I pray for someone, its Gods power, I minister His power, and they must have faith enough to receive it.

There are people waiting for you to walk in this power and authority.

You are an amazing instrument of God almighty. He is ready to use you. Are you ready to be used?

I am trying to raise up believers to the supernatural status for these last days.

When God gave this authority, He gave it to all mankind. He did not give it to just preachers and teachers but to all that believe.

Gods grace had favored us with His authority to use His power in the name of Jesus.

Grace through faith puts a demand on spiritual laws. Faith put the manifestation of Gods word into motion.

We believe by faith, Hebrews 11:1, substance of things

Faith sets the spiritual laws of heaven in motion.

God’s spiritual laws are his covenant with mankind

Which are his promises and provision?

The finished work at the cross, released: Gods mercy, Gods grace, Gods favor and Gods authorization, our authority under the name of Jesus.

And it is all manifested through…

Commission

To empower or authorize by commission

An authorization to perform certain duties

Authority to act for another.

THE IMAGE OF GOD IN YOU

Read 2^nd cor 5:7  For we walk by faith and not by sight.

God has given you the principle, and the power to make permanent changes in your life, and in your circumstances. (Principle means: the basic way in which something works). But first you have to understand an important principal… it is the principle of Inner image

When God created the earth, he had to first have an inner image or idea of what he wanted to create. He took the principle of the inner image and added faith and the power of His words, and created.

For your inner image to work, you need to use words for your base… the word of God. The word has supernatural power. And if you fill that word with faith and speak it out it will work for you.

You have to use words to get that image from the inside of you to the outside.

Words are powerful; they are containers that can carry faith and love.

Words are so important they can determine our eternal destiny.

Proverbs 18: 21   Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

We are the only creature on the planet that has the power to speak words.

Satan chose his own words and was doomed forever: words can destroy or they can create. Words can take an inner image and project it to the outside world.

Once you understand that… you can put the principle of the inner image to work in your life. Words not only release the creative force of faith, they also produce images.

When you hear the word dog, you form a picture in your mind of a dog. that is an inner image; words paint pictures in our minds. We have to get that inner image to line up with the word of God. God’s words are packed with faith.

That faith is the energy that is in the word that gives it power to bring itself to pass.

In other words, transfers it from inner image to a physical reality.

Isaiah 55: 11     So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God’s word is a living thing. It is alive with Gods own faith. Just as Gods faith energized the words he spoke, the faith he has given you, mixed with his words can create new realities in your life.

By the power of the Holy Spirit you have faith inside of you. When your inner image matches Gods word, then your faith can produce the end result that God desires for it to produce.

You need to realize that when you start putting these principles and this power to work. You are going to run into some heavy resistance from Satan. He is going to do everything he can to stop you because you have just become one of his greatest enemies.

And because he understands the power of the inner image, he will work hard to distort that image. He will try to up root the word of God that has been planted inside you.

Jesus himself warned us of his devilish tactics in the parable of the sower. The word is the subject of this parable. Not the ground in which the seed is sown… Satan has to stop the word from taking root in your heart. He has to stop you from cultivating an inner image of the word.

Once you have an inner image, nothing can stop you from receiving from God. You will be fully persuaded that what God has promised, he is able to perform.

Satan must try to stop you before you become fully persuaded. Once you get in agreement with the word, Satan can’t stop it from coming to pass. It is the word in you that he is after, not just you.

Satan uses these five things to try and get your mind off the word, and onto natural things.

1.        Persecution. 2. Affliction.  3. Care of this world.

4.           Deceitfulness with riches.  5. The lust of other things. (the flesh)

Persecution = the infliction of pain or punishment.

Affliction = a state of continual distress or pain.

There is only one way to overcome Satins methods.

Paul says walk by faith and not by sight… when your body says I am sick, remind your body that you believe it is healed.

When you have the same image inside of you that is the same as Gods inner image of you, then you can be confident that your body is going to change.

It has no choice; it has to line up with Gods word.

When you have a clear image on the inside of you and you release your faith, that which is inside of you becomes a reality on the outside.

God has given you the faith, he has given you his word, and he has given you the Holy Spirit.

Let us get into the word, let it begin to shape the images within you… then speak it out in power and faith in the name of Jesus.

ARE WE LIVING IN THE END TIMES?

Revelation 22:11   ¹¹ He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

The time will come when a person’s final destiny will be determined and sealed forever. When the eternal day dawns, all unbelievers will be condemned and cast into the lake of fire. They will be without hope because their eternal condition will never change.

On the other hand, all believers will be excepted and given entrance to the Holy City where they will continue to grow and improve. Hope and holiness will always be theirs.

Revelation 22:12   ¹² And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Jesus will return and when he does, he will bring rewards with him, he will separate the lost from the saved and everyone will receive rewards according to the quality of work they have done.

Revelation 22:13   ¹³ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Jesus is using three titles to identify himself with the Father. He has used them several times before. No one else can use them because they assert his deity. It must be taken by faith.

Revelation 22:14   ¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

This is where we will be blessed with two rewards: access to the tree of life, and permission to pass through the gates of the Holy City. Those who refuse to accept Christ will be rejecting his reward.

Revelation 22:15   ¹⁵ For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Jesus is providing a list of those who will not be blessed with access to the tree of life and the Holy City. The cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars, shall have their part in the lake of fire.

Revelation 22:16   ¹⁶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Jesus reiterates the first two verses of Chapter one by saying that revelation is a testimony he gave to an angel for delivery to the churches.

The root of the offspring of David comes from the old testament and is a reference to the Messiah, Jesus is the messiah.

The bright and morning star comes from both the old and new testaments. Jesus is identifying himself as the one who will appear near the end of the earth’s darkest hour, the tribulation period, he alone will bring a brighter day to the world.

Revelation 22:17   ¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

This is God’s final call for all believers to come. A call for all believers to tell all unbelievers to come. The Holy Spirit works in and through the bride of Christ the church) using them to invite all unbelievers to come to Jesus and drink of His salvation, the water of life.

Let him who thirst come, those who are tired of living without Jesus should come. God invites all who desire to receive his free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus, to come.

Revelation 22:18   ¹⁸ For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Revelation was given by God and it is His word alone. He alone has authority over it, anyone who adds anything new to the words of Revelation will feel the wrath of God upon him.

Revelation 22:19   ¹⁹ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Taking away from this book brings on a second part to Gods warning. Anyone who deletes anything from this book risks having his share in the tree of life and the Holy city erased. Those who delete something prove not only that they do not love God or believe in his word, but that by doing this they are destined for the lake of fire as well.

Revelation 22:20   ²⁰ He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

I am coming quickly is His final promise. In answer to this promise of the Lords return, John responds, amen, even so come Lord Jesus. This is a statement of Johns personal belief and he urges Jesus to come back.

Revelation 22:21   ²¹ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Grace makes salvation possible. Grace will keep us out of the lake of fire, and let us pass through the gates of the Holy City.

ARE WE LIVING IN THE END TIMES?

Revelation 22:1   22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Up to this point the angel has been showing John the city’s basic framework. Foundations, walls, gates and a street. The holy city however will also contain other things, such as water, trees and fruit.

Here we see that it will have a river called the river of life. This water of life is called living water and is used as a symbol for the Holy spirit.

The source of this river will be the throne of God and the Lamb. They will supply life giving water and the Holy Spirit in abundance to the Holy city. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit will be present to meet all our needs.

Revelation 22:2   ² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Picture a street of pure gold, transparent like glass. It will have mansions of gold on each side and a river of crystal-clear water flowing down the middle with rows of trees on each side. This is the magnificent scene John is trying to describe.

These trees will provide a continuous supply of food from God. This says something about the heavenly bodies. Just as Jesus ate and drank after being raised from the dead, believers will eat food and drink in the Holy city.

Revelation 22:3   ³ And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Sin has caused great harm in the present creation, but it will not affect the new creation once God has cast Satan and all of his followers into Hell and raised us with our new bodies to dwell in his constant presence. All of the curse will be gone.

The Holy city will be the new location of Gods throne, we will not be floating on clouds with harps in our hands. We will be praising and serving God.

Revelation 22:4   ⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

In the holy city we will actually see the face of our father and his Son, Jesus. The name of God will be written on our foreheads to identify us as God’s own.

Revelation 22:5   ⁵ And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

This is the second time we have been told there will be no night in the Holy City. We will not need the sun for heat or to grow our crops. God and Jesus will light the entire creation. They will be all that is needed and believers will have the honor and privilege of reigning with them forever.

Revelation 22:6   ⁶ And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

The angel also reminded John how this message was given. The Lord Jesus sent his angel to give the prophets spiritual understanding. In other words, Jesus is the source of this revelation and because he is it must be fulfilled.

The things that soon must take place have already started. In fact, the first part of this prophecy (revelation) the church age, is almost over. Everything from the rapture to the second coming is near at hand.

Revelation 22:7   ⁷ Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

When Jesus comes it will happen very fast, in the blink of the eye. Many people wonder why prophecy is so important. Its importance does not lie in prediction the future, but rather in changing of our live, giving us a desire and concern for the lost and unsaved.

The fact is, God means for prophecy to be obeyed and those who do obey are promised a blessing.

Revelation 1:3 says blessed who reads and those who hear the words of his prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it, for the time is near.

Revelation 22:8   ⁸ And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

John is repeating his claim that he is the human author of revelation, and that he both saw and heard the things he writes about. He was so impressed with the angel that revealed these things to him that he was overcome with awe and fell down to worship at the angel’s feet.

Revelation 22:9   ⁹ Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

This is the second time an angel told John not to worship him. Angels are servants of God. It is a mistake to worship angels. Only God is worthy of worship.

Revelation 22:10   ¹⁰ And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

When Daniel wrote prophecy, he did not understand some of the things God had shown him. Revelation is different, Johns prophecy was already unfolding and the church age was taking hold. For this reason, the message was to be left unsealed. God wants people to hear these things now.
