Anchord in His Word

 

Read Heb 6: 18-19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul. Our
soul is made up of our mind, our will and our emotions.

Which if it is not anchored to something it is going to run wild.

Today we are involved in the most intense warfare of all times. It is called a spiritual warfare, the unseen war.

This is the war most Christians don’t want to get involved in, the kind of war a lot of people fear.

Our enemy is a fallen angel known as Lucifer, commonly known as Satan or devil. 

The word Satan means adversary.

Read 1^st Peter 5-8... 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

As the word devil means accuser, Read Rev 12: 10... 10 and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Being a Christian doesn’t mean you will escape accusation. That is why it is so important to realize who the accuser is.

The reason the body of Christ is so vuneralble is we are fighting a war we can not see.

Read Eph 6:12 We are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against (principalities a territory ruled by a prince) against powers… (powers of manipulation, deception).

The rulers of darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places. (the second heaven).

Thank God we have authority over such thru Christ Jesus.

Jesus has already made every provision necessary.

This is our promise, but if we don’t know it… it won’t do us any good.

Now you can understand why we must be anchored to God and his word.

Read John 10: 27-29,   My sheep hear my voice I know them, and they follow me.

vs 28 says... And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, or be destroyed, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

vs 29 ...My father which gave them to me, is greater than all. And no man is able to pluck them out of my fathers hand, I and my father are one.

Our soul is anchored in God’s word… Gods will… and Gods purpose for our lives

The truth really will set you free… if you really know the truth

God is… God can… and God will…

Today is Always Today

Today is always today, yesterday is gone, you can’t bring it back regardless of how good it was.

There is no such thing as tomorrow for us to worship god and live free in his word, it is always today… you go to bed tonight when you wake up in the morning, guess what, it’s today all over

Read matt 6: 34 take no thought for tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself today is the day the lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it to many times, people are so worried about tomorrow until they forget today. They have their mind on earthly things and not on the things of god. Which is his will for their lives

Read matt 6:31-32...31 therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (for after all these things do the gentiles seek:) for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Your heavenly father knows you need all these things

read matt 6:33...seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you

the mind has a strange way of thinking. It says, i’ll do this or that tomorrow. Not realizing you may not ever see what people call tomorrow.

We are so busy working so we can buy those things we want and forget that our heavenly father has already made it possible for us to receive them.

Read matt 7:7 ask and it shall be given

read john 14: 13-14 what ever you ask in my name, that i will do, that the father may be glorified in the son, if you shall ask anything in my name, i will do it

james 4:3 says, ye ask and receive not because you ask amis.

We don’t receive because we don’t believe god will do what he says he will do. We believe he can do all things, but we don’t think it is for us… we just don’t believe

plainly speaking, we don’t trust him and we don’t trust his word

today is still today, choices need to be made

everyday has 24 hours in it, god blessed you with it. It is his gift to you. He gave it with his love, mercy and compassion to use how you want

you can’t use part of today and save the rest for tomorrow. Tomorrow always becomes today…

READ ROMANS 8:28-31... AND WE KNOW THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD.

TO THEM THAT ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE

WHAT SHALL WE THEN SAY TO THESE THINGS, IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US.

GOD WORKS IN EVERYTHING, NOT JUST ISOLATED INCIDENCES … BUT EVERYTHING FOR OUR GOOD

AS A BELIEVER YOU ARE NOT LEFT TO YOUR OWN RESOURCES TO COPE WITH PROBLEMS

TRUST GOD, HE WILL DO WHATEVER IS BEST FOR YOU… EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO US DOES NOT MEAN IT IS ALWAYS GOOD.

EVIL IS ALWAYS PRESENT IN OUR FALLEN WORLD, BUT GOD IS ABLE TO TURN CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND FOR OUR GOOD

GOD IS NOT WORKING TO MAKE US HAPPY, BUT TO FULFILL HIS PURPOSES IN THIS WORLD…

THIS PROMISE IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY, IT CAN BE CLAIMED ONLY BY THOSE WHO LOVE GOD AND ARE CALLED BY HIM FOR HIS PURPOSE.

THOSE WHO THE HOLY SPIRIT DRAWS TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST..

IF YOU HAVE MADE JESUS THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE YOU HAVE A NEW PERSPECTIVE AND A NEW MIND SET

GOD KNEW US IN ADVANCE AND HE CHOOSE US TO BECOME LIKE HIS SON.

GOD IS AT THE CENTER OF A CHIRISTIANS LIFE, GOD SUPPLIES THE POWER FOR A CHRISTIANS DAILY LIVING…

SOME PEOPLE TRY TO EARN THEIR WAY TO GOD BY KEEPING A SET OF RULES OR LIVING IN THEIR OWN EFFORTS.

READ EPH 3: 19-20... AND TO KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST, WHICH PASSETH KNOWLEDGE, THAT YE MIGHT BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULNESS OF GOD

VS 20 NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US.

THE FAMILY OF GOD INCLUDES ALL WHO HAVE BELIEVED IN HIM IN THE PAST, ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM IN THE PRESENT, AND ALL WHO WILL BELIEVE IN HIM IN THE FUTURE…

WE ARE ALL A FAMILY BECAUSE WE HAVE THE SAME HEAVENLY FATHER. HE IS THE SOURCE OF ALL CREATION AND PROMISES HIS LOVE AND HIS POWER TO HIS FAMILY, THE CHURCH, BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS

THE FULNESS OF CHRIST IS IN UNION WITH CHRIST AND THROUGH HIS EMPOWERING SPIRIT, WE ARE COMPLETE.

CHRISTIANS MUST AGREE TO ATTAIN A TRUE UNITY, WHEN BELIEVERS HAVE THIS UNITY OF SPIRIT, PETTY DIFFERENCES SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO COME IN AND DISSOLVE THAT UNITY.

THE FELLOWSHIP OF BELIEVERS IS THE CHURCH. THE HOLY SPIRIT ACTIVATES OUR FELLOWSHIP TO THE GLORIOUS FUTURE TO WHICH WE ARE ALL CALLED.

THE WORD OF GOD AND THE LOVE OF GOD RELEASES LIFE IN YOU… GOD RELEASED HIS SON INTO OUR LIFE SO WE COULD HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

WHEN ABRAHAM OFFERED UP HIS SON ISAAC AS AN OFFERING THERE WAS NO WAY GOD COULD ACCEPT IT, BECAUSE ISAAC WAS NOT PERFECT, GOD KNEW THIS…

GOD WAS ONLY TESTING ABRAHAMS FAITH… ABRAHAM LOVE GOD SO MUCH HE WAS WILLING TO GIVE HIS SON.

GOD LOVES US SO MUCH, HE WAS WILLING TO GIVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON… GOD HAS INVESTED THE VERY BEST HE HAD FOR THE REMISSIONOF OUR SINS.

GODS LOVE, GODS POWER AND AUTHORITY HAS BEEN INVESTED INTO OUR LIVES THROUGH THE ONE AND ONLY JESUS CHRIST

IF YOU ARE ROOTED IN THAT LOVE, EVERYTHING YOU NEED HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE AND MADE AVAILABLE…

YOUR HEALING, PROSPERITY, CONFIDENCE, VICTORY, BLESSED HOPE AND ETERNITY WITH HIM, ARE ALL AVAILABLE TO YOU

READ PHIL 4:19... But my God shall supply all your needs according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus

Being a Christian is more than doing and not doing things..

It is a process that is supposed to be making us more like Jesus each day.

It is an orderly progression into a new lifestyle into the glorious image of Jesus Christ.

Read 2^nd Corr. 3:18... But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord.

Wherever the Lords spirit is, there is freedom, as all of us reflect the Lords glory, we are being changed into his image with ever increasing glory. This comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Math 6:33 says… seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness. God is asking us to submit freely to the authority of His kingdom.

The kingdom of God is the governing part of Gods favor in our lives. We are also told to put on His righteousness. Gods righteousness is His divine nature.

2^nd Peter 2: 1-4 says to be partakers of the divine nature of God. By seeking or reading His word about the kingdom of God and his righteousness, heaven opens up for us to receive freely all the benefits that was made available through the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross.

God wants to supply all your needs, He knows about everything you need… not only does He know about all your needs he wants to bless you by giving them to you.

However you must meet a requirement first, you must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. When you faithfully follow his instruction, God says He will give you all the things you need.

If you do not meet this qualification, He will not add anything to your life. If you don’t seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, the windows of heaven will close.

The kingdom of God is the government of God, whenever and wherever a Christian allows Jesus Christ to rule in his life, that is where you will find the kingdom of God.

If you are a Christian, God will count you righteous, not by anything you have done, but based upon the merits of Jesus’ death on the cross.

Salvation puts us in right standing before God. The more you allow Jesus to be Lord over your life, the more righteousness will show itself in and through you…

The windows of heaven are wide open for those who seek to imitate Jesus.

God will meet your needs but not your greed.
