THE ASSURANCE OF GODS WORD

THE ASSURANCE OF GODS WORD

Hebrews 11:6     But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If you want this assurance of God’s word to be perfected in your life, you must have faith enough to believe that God is, and will do what His inspired word says it will do.

Believing that God exists is only the beginning. Even the demons believed that much. God will not settle for mere acknowledgement of His existence. He wants a personal relationship with you. A relationship that will transform your life.

Those who seek God will find that they are rewarded with his intimate presence. God assures us that all who honestly seek him, who act in faith on the knowledge of God will be rewarded.

2 Timothy 3:16-17   16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The whole bible is Gods inspired word. Because it is trustworthy, we should read it and apply it to our life. The bible is our standard for testing everything else that claims to be true. It is our safeguard against false teachings.

It is our source of guidance for how we should live and be saved. All scripture that is inspired by God is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It teaches us what is right.

It is God’s way of preparing us in every way and to equip us for every good thing God wants us to do.

Hebrews 6:18     That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

God took an oath so that those who received the promise, (Jesus) could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind.

God has given us, both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie.

Therefore, we who have run to him for refuge can take new courage by holding on to His promise with confidence.

Titus 1:2    In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

This truth gives us the confidence of eternal life, which God promised us before the creation of the world began. He cannot lie because God is all truth.

Because God is all truth and cannot lie, what he says he will do must come to pass. Confidence is nothing more than trusting God, believing that no matter what, God will always be there.

Hebrews 13:5-6    Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

This is why we can say with confidence; the Lord is my helper, we can trust that God will always meet our needs. Whatever we need God can supply, but we must remember there is a difference between our wants and our needs.

Matthew 6:33   33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

To make the kingdom of God your primary concern, means to put God first in your life. To fill your thoughts with His desires, to serve and obey Him in everything. You can actively choose Him as having first place in all areas of your life.

John 10:10   10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God says my purpose is to give life in all fullness, in contrast to the thief who takes life. Jesus gives life, the life He gives is abundantly rich and full. It is eternal, yet it begins immediately through faith and trust in His death, burial and resurrection.

The bottom line is, you want what God has, God wants you to have what he has. You haven’t been getting what God wants to give you. God has been dealing with that same problem since Adam and Eve.
Here is some of the problems God deals with us humans:

1.      The only time we talk to God is when we need or want something.

2.      We don’t receive, because we must believe that we receive when we pray. We only hope.

God likes us enough to hand it to us, if only we will believe we receive.

Sometimes we use God like an insurance policy. We don’t reach out to him until we crash. Stop treating God like the heavenly handy man and start praising him like the loving heavenly father he is. He wants us to talk to him every day just like we talk to our mom or dad.  He loves us and wants a relationship with us.

CHRISTMAS, THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

CHRISTMAS

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

The time has come again to celebrate the season of Christmas, and not the reason of Christmas

Most people will celebrate the birthday of Christ Jesus whom they have no idea of who he is. They will decorate trees, put up lights on their house, set up big parties and buy lots of presents for people that they really can’t afford.

They have no idea who Jesus really is and why this time of the year is so important. To them it is just another kid’s birthday and a time to party.

If this is the case with your Christmas let me tell you who the kid is and who his dad is. Jesus is the son of the most-high God who created the heavens and the earth, the sun and the moon and millions of stars of whom he named, “each and every one”. He is the one who created you expressly for the purpose of having fellowship with you.

Now getting back to the kid’s birthday on Christmas. If you are a born-again Christian you understand about who Jesus is because he lives in your heart, but if you have not been born again you won’t understand the things I am trying to say because you will think I am just being rude.

Not at all the case, you can’t make sense of supernatural things with a natural way of thinking. This kid whose birthday we are celebrating is the only hope we have as humans to having an eternal life in heaven with our heavenly father.

Believe me when I say that Jesus is the son of God, his last name is not Christ, he is the Christ, “savior”. He is king of all kings, and our hope of glory is in him. He loved us so much he gave his life so we could keep ours.

Don’t cheapen His birthday with a bottle of booze thinking you are doing him a favor. This is serious, your relationship with Jesus really is the most important thing in your life.

Matthew 28:18   18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Which mean Jesus has been given complete authority in heaven and on earth, this is the one that we are to celebrate this Holy season… its not the parties and gifts that are important, its our relationship with Jesus that’s important.

John 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This is one of the most basic and important passages in scripture. How can we know the way to God? Jesus is the way, he is both God and man.

By uniting our lives with His, we are united with God the Father. Trust Jesus to take you to the father and all the benefits that have been made available to us at the cross. Being a child of God will open the door to all the benefits God has provided for us, his children.

So, this year when you celebrate Jesus’ birthday, have a little respect of who He is. Its ok to string your lights and gives gifts, celebrating Him. Don’t let Santa Clause take first place in your celebration, that first place belongs to the one and only king of kings and lord of Lords Jesus Christ.

Wishing you all a very blessed and Merry Christmas

SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS THROUGH THE COVENANT OF GRACE

SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS THROUGH THE COVENANT OF GRACE

Eph. 1: 3-5   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms or places.

This means, that in Christ we have all the benefits of knowing God. Our relationship with God has been renewed.

Being chosen for salvation, Mathew 22:14 says, for many are called, but few are chosen. When we hear/feel the Holy Spirit tugging at our heart, we must surrender ourselves to Him.

To enter into these spiritual blessings, we must receive the invitation of his righteousness through Jesus Christ.

Being adopted as His children, Eph 1:5, we were predestinated (or fore ordained by divine decree) unto the adoption by Jesus Christ to Himself.

John 1: 12-13   That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Being born makes you physically alive and places you in your parent’s family.

Being born of God makes you spiritually alive and puts you in Gods family.

Another spiritual blessing is forgiveness:

1st John 1:9   If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

All people by nature and by practice are sinners, at our conversion; all our sins are forgiven, past present and future.

Even after we become Christians, we still sin and still need to confess or repent.

Another spiritual blessing is insight:

Insight is a clear understanding of the inner nature of some specific thing.

Insight is: The ability to see and understand clearly.

2nd Tim 2:7   Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

God speaks through His word and we need to be open to it and meditate on it.

Read the word then consider what you have read by thinking it through and meditating on it.

God, through the Holy Spirit will give you understanding.

Another blessing is the gifts of the Holy Spirit:

Eph 4:4-12   There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 1:17   That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, comes from God the Father, through the Holy Spirit who reveals the truth to your spirit.

It is that still small voice within you that says, don’t do that, or don’t take that road, etc.

We receive through His mercy and grace. This is His gift to you. It is not of your works, but of His grace and favor.

Another spiritual blessing is Power to do the will of God:

God’s will, His word, is the will of God, will never lead you where the grace of God can not keep you.

2nd Peter 1:3   According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Many believers want an abundance of God’s special favor and peace, but they are unwilling to put forth the effort to know Him better. We must stay in His word and live life for Him.

The power to lead a godly life comes from God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

God allows us to share in His divine nature, in order to keep us from sin. With Jesus as our savior we become worthy to have a relationship with our heavenly Father.

God by his spirit empowers us with his own goodness. When we receive Christ as savior, we receive the spirit of God.

Another blessing is the hope of living forever with Christ:

Hope is the inner image of who we are in Christ Jesus

Heb 6:19   Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

This confidence in God is like a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.

Two unchangeable things are God’s promise and his oath. He can not lie, because God is truth. A covenant with God is a forever covenant.

You can be sure of his promises; you don’t need to wonder if he will change His plans.

Our hope is secure and immoveable, when we anchor it in God.

If our faith is strong we won’t lose hope, have faith in God, faith is a positive response to what grace has already made available.

YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

John 8:12   12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of li

If you follow me you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to eternal life.

As we follow the laws of the nation, we should follow even more so the laws of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus brings God’s presence, protection and guidance to our lives, he is the light of the world.

Is he the light in your world, or are you still trying to work thigs out on your own in the darkness?

John makes it very clear that Jesus is not just a man, he is the eternal son of God.

He is the light of the world because he offers us all this awesome gift of eternal life.

It would be foolish to think of Jesus of nothing more than just a good man or a moral teacher.

If you really believe Jesus is the eternal son of God, pay more attention to His divine life-giving message. The message that he is the son of God.

Some worship Him but at the same time are puzzled, some simply don’t believe him, we see the same reactions today as were seen when he came to earth.

Times have changed, but people’s hearts still remain hard. Sometimes I think there is too many doubting Thomas’ in the world.

If we can believe Jesus died for the remission of our sins so that we might have eternal life, why can’t we believe the rest of what He says?

By trusting Him and having an open mind to understand Gods message and continue in our lives to fulfill Gods purpose for our life.

By believing in His life, his words. His death and resurrection, we are cleansed from our sins and receive power. The power to fulfill His purpose for our lives.

John 3:5-6   Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

The truth is no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives us new live from heaven.

John 3:36   36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Jesus says, that those who believe in Him have eternal life, not will have.

Eternal or everlasting life begins at the moment of accepting Jesus as Savior, it is called a spiritual rebirth.

Jesus says if you only knew the gift God has for you, and who I am, you would ask me and I would give you living water, the water I give takes away thirst altogether.

Eternal life is Gods life embodied in Christ, given to all believers as a guarantee that they will live forever. No more death, sickness, enemies, sin or evil.

Receive this new life by faith and put Christ Jesus in charge of your eternal destiny. He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except by Him.

VICTORY OVER A SIN CONSCIOUS

VICTORY OVER A SIN CONSCIOUS

Hebrew 2: 14-15   14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

When you know and understand what Jesus has done for you, then you are free from bondage.

But to be free from bondage, you have to know the truth.

The danger of a sin conscious is that your faith won’t work

No matter what you are believing for, it won’t work.

The question is what did Jesus really do?

Jesus left his home in heaven, then came to earth, took on a body of flesh and blood, so he could die.

As a spirit he could not die, spirit doesn’t die.

In order for him to die he had to take on something that could die, a body of flesh and blood.

Not only did he take on flesh and blood so he could die, he now has a body to give as a sin offering.

He was born to die… there had to be a death, there had to be a blood sacrifice.

Everything Jesus suffered was supposed to be for us.

He took our suffering; our pain of death, the whipping, being beat, spit on, and even went to hell in our place.

Because he went to hell we don’t have to.

The sin debt had to be paid for, and Jesus was the only one that could pay that debt.

Jesus set us free from shame, poverty and the bondage of fear of death.

Satan does not have the power of death anymore.

If you don’t absolutely understand what Jesus did on that cross and as soon as the sin conscious comes back you will be back to step one.

Hebrew 10: 26   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

If you don’t know who this is written to you will miss the whole thing.

How can we give a correct interpretation of this verse of scripture, and not know what the Jewish people went through?

We have been taught that if you willfully or deliberately sin there is no more sacrifice for sin.

What did that do to you when someone said that to you?

It makes you feel condemned, hopeless and it makes you feel like “I might miss heaven”.

This letter was written to the Jewish Hebrew people. It was never meant for the believers of Jesus.

Under the Mosaic Law if you sin willfully after Jesus has come and go back to the sacrificing of bulls and goats… there is no more sacrifice!

The Hebrews willfully sinning is the refection of Jesus Christ as the final sacrifice and going back to the temple sacrifice.

The only sacrifice for the remission of sin is the blood of Jesus Christ.

And if you reject Him as the only sacrifice, there is none other sacrifice for sin.

This is and was always plan A. there is no plan B.

When you go back under the Law, and try to make Gods word work in your life under your own efforts you will fail.

You will always have a sin conscious, wondering if I break the law will this or that happen.

You will always be in bondage with a sin conscious.

That is why Jesus came to deliver us and make us right before God, so we could have a righteous conscious.

Righteousness by the law says…do. Righteousness by faith says… done

It is not about what God is going to do, it is about what God has already done…

Grab this gift that the Son of God gave us. Accept that he has done it all. All we need to do is accept him as savior and serve Him.

Stay in the word.

THE POWER OF GODS IMAGE  IN YOU

THE POWER OF GODS IMAGE  IN YOU

Cor 5:7   For we walk by faith and not by sight.

God has given you the principle, and the power to make permanent changes in your life, and in your circumstances. (Principle means: the basic way in which something works)

But first you have to understand an important principal… it is the principle of Inner image

Genesis1: 26

26 And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

When God created the earth, he had to first have an inner image or idea of what he wanted to create.

He took the principle of the inner image and added faith and the power of His words, and created.

For your inner image to work, you need to use words for your base… the word of God. The word of God has supernatural power.

And if you fill that word with faith and speak it out it will work for you. God said His word would not come back void.

You have to use words to get that image from the inside of you to the outside.

Words are powerful; they are containers that can carry faith and love.

Words are so important they can determine our eternal destiny.

Proverbs 18: 21   Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

We are the only creature on the planet that has the power to speak words.

Satan chose his own words and was doomed forever: words can destroy or they can create.

Words can take an inner image and project it to the outside world.

Once you understand that… you can put the principle of the inner image to work in your life.

Words not only release the creative force of faith, they also produce images.

When you hear the word dog, you form a picture in your mind of a dog. that is an inner image; words paint pictures in our minds.

We have to get that inner image to line up with the word of God. God’s words are packed with faith.

That faith is the energy that is in the word that gives it power to bring itself to pass.

In other words, transfers it from inner image to a physical reality.

Isaiah 55: 11     So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God’s word is a living thing. It is alive with Gods own faith.

Just as Gods faith energized the words he spoke, the faith he has given you, mixed with his words can create new realities in your life.

By the power of the Holy Spirit you have faith inside of you.

When your inner image matches Gods word, then your faith can produce the end result that God desires for it to produce.

You need to realize that when you start putting these principles and this power to work. You are going to run into some heavy resistance from Satan.

He is going to do everything he can to stop you because you have just become one of his greatest enemies.

And because he understands the power of the inner image, he will work hard to distort that image.

He will try to up root the word of God that has been planted inside you.

Matthew 13: 18-23   18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Jesus himself warned us of his devilish tactics in the parable of the sower. The word is the subject of this parable.

Not the ground in which the seed is sown… Satan has to stop the word from taking root in your heart.

He has to stop you from cultivating an inner image of the word.

Once you have an inner image, nothing can stop you from receiving from God.

You will be fully persuaded that what God has promised, he is able to perform.

Satan must try to stop you before you become fully persuaded.

Once you get in agreement with the word, Satan can’t stop it from coming to pass. It is the word in you that he is after, not just you.

Satan uses these five things to try and get your mind off the word, and onto natural things.

1.     Persecution. 2. Affliction.  3. Care of this world.

4.        Deceitfulness with riches.  5. The lust of other things. (the flesh)

Persecution = the infliction of pain or punishment.

Affliction = a state of continual distress or pain.

There is only one way to overcome Satins methods.

Paul says walk by faith and not by sight… when your body says I am sick, remind your body that you believe it is healed.

When you have the same image inside of you that is the same as Gods inner image of you, then you can be confident that your body is going to change.

It has no choice; it has to line up with Gods word.

When you have a clear image on the inside of you and you release your faith, that which is inside of you becomes a reality on the outside.

God has given you the faith, he has given you his word, and he has given you the Holy Spirit.

So, get into the word, let it begin to shape the images within you… then speak it out in power and faith in the name of Jesus.

If we want the supernatural promises and blessings of God to manifest in our lives, we must stop thinking in the natural realm.

We don’t live by the natural world’s way, so why would we make spiritual decisions using the ways of the world.

We are reborn into the supernatural things of God, by the renewing of our mind.

If you want your today and tomorrow to be different from your yesterday, stop thinking that God can’t, God won’t, and probably never will.

Start confessing, God can, God will and stop blaming God for everything that doesn’t go along with our small way of thinking.

Stay in the word,
Brother Andy
