LIFE IN THE SUPERNATURAL

 

Galatians 4:31   ³¹ So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Abraham had two sons, one by a bondmaid and her name was Hagar.

Hagar was a slave woman obligated to the law. So the slave woman’s son could not share the family inheritance with the freewoman’s son.

Sarah, who was the wife of Abraham and her son, was born of a free bond woman.

The son of the bond woman was an attempt to bring about the fulfillment of Gods promise to Abraham.

But the son of the free bond wife was born as Gods own fulfillment of His promise.

These two women serve as an illustration of Gods two covenants.

Hagar the slave woman represents Mount Sinai where people first became enslaved to the law.

Just as Hagar was a slave.

Sarah, the free woman represents the heavenly Jerusalem.

We are not children of Hagar. Hagar’s children are children of the natural.

Galatians 4:28   ²⁸ Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

We are children of Sarah; we are children of the promise.

When we were born again something happened. Now we can’t be held back. It is not by might, nor by power. It is by His Spirit that we are the children of the supernatural.

We have no connection to the finish work of the cross without faith.

To get what grace has made available we have to get it by faith. Grace is God’s unmerited favor.

Ephesians 4:7-8   ⁷ But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

We must learn to respond to grace through faith, to release the supply available before the need was ever evident. It is always available

Religion tells us that we have to perform to get what God has already done.

Ephesians 2:8-9   For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

⁹ Not of works, lest any man should boast.

God in all his wisdom has in his good pleasure made everything we need or ever will need available through the Blood of Jesus.

We have been saved, delivered from judgment and everything heaven has to offer can be possessed by faith, not by religious rhetoric.

Hebrews 11:1   Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for.

1^st Peter 1:3   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Hope is the finished work of the cross.

Spiritual warfare is you maintaining the victory that Jesus died to obtain.

Spiritual warfare is standing on the word, regardless of the pain, your thoughts or your feelings.

It doesn’t matter what the circumstance may look like, do not move away from your faith. What you’re believing for is already done.

Spiritual warfare is the battle in your mind: what you are thinking.

If what you are thinking doesn’t line up with the word of God, don’t receive it. Stand on the finished work of the Cross.

The things hoped for are the finished works of the cross.

2^nd Peter 1:3   According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

So where is it? It is in your spirit.

Ephesians 1:3   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Has blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in Heavenly places.

So when we say, God what are you going to do? His reply is I am finished, what are you going to do.

It is a done deal, I am finished.

So how do we manifest the super natural finished works of the cross to the natural realm?

Your response is the key to how you respond to everything that happens to you.

Don’t respond to the natural situation: that keeps you bound to the natural.

Some situations demand a supernatural response. Immediately give a supernatural response.

Philemon 6    That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Our faith will become effective by acknowledging the finished work of Jesus Christ which is in you. It is in you. Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Mark 11:23   ²³ For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

In the natural it would seem impossible to move a mountain into the sea.

So Jesus was using this illustration to show that God can do the impossible.

Luke 1:37 says, for with God nothing shall be impossible.

God will answer prayers, but not as a result of your natural mental thinking.

God works in the supernatural spiritual realm and with faith He manifests things prayed for into the natural physical realm.

You must not pray with selfish motives.

Your request must be for the good of Gods kingdom.

To pray effectively you need faith in God.

Not faith in the thing of your request. If you focus is only on your request and it comes from a selfish motive it may be refused.

James 4:2-3   Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

³ Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

James is saying…You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it.

You are jealous for what others have and the fact that you don’t possess it.

So you fight and quarrel to take it away from them.

The reason you don’t have what you want is you don’t ask God for it with belief.

When you ask sometimes you don’t get it because your motive is all wrong.

Some of the time you want things for your own pleasure. Instead of going to God to see what he wants for your life.

John 14:12-14   Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

¹³ And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁴ If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

When Jesus says we can ask for anything, we must remember that our asking must be in His name.

There is no magic formula, or abra cadabras or plan B. it is only the name of Jesus.

If we are sincerely following God and seeking to do His will, then our prayers will be in line with what he wants, Then he will grant them.

John 15:7   If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

We try to be good, honest people and do what we feel is right.

But Jesus says that the only way to live a truly good life is to stay close to him.

That is what happened under the Mosaic Law. If you did good you were blessed, if you did bad you got cursed. Duet. Chapter 28

Thank God we are not under the law anymore. We are under Gods mercy and grace.

When we pray in line with Gods word, He will do what His word says he will do.

He has to. His word is His covenant, and he is bound by His word.

Genesis 1:26   And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

And God said let them have dominion over all the earth and everything upon the earth.

Dominion: the supreme authority and power of governing and controlling.

God gave man total control on the Earth to take care of and manage it.

God created the earth, but he left man in charge of it. Just as if man had created it himself.

Isaiah 14:12-15   How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

¹³ For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

¹⁵ Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

For you said to yourself, I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.

I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the most high.

Satan’s plan was to get mans unrestricted and unconditional dominion, which is the power and authority that God gave man when he created him.

When God created man he made a covenant with him that was unbreakable, it was given with His word.

Psalms 89:34   My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Everything God speaks is a covenant. God will never change His mind about his covenant.

Satan is saying, when I can get hold of what man has, and then I can go to heaven.

If I can get man to submit their authority to me, I will be like the most high.

I want mans unrestricted, unconditional authority. The only way I can get it is through man whom God gave the authority to. When man will submits to me it will be mine.

So since I am a spirit I have no ability on the earth without some kind of body.

That is why he appeared to Eve in the Garden of Eden as a serpent.

Satan is saying I want human bodies and if I can get them to turn their bodies and dominion over to me and submit to me, I will be able to use their power and authority against them and receive what I need.

Numbers 23:19   is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

When god made the promise, you have dominion and authority in the Earth; you must understand the depth of what His word meant and what he did. He bound himself by his word.

God said in Genesis 1:26 Let them have dominion in all the earth, it was a covenant bound by his word.

God can not lie and will not change his mind concerning his word or his covenant.

Hebrews 1:3   Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

If God changed His mind and changed his word, all creation would crumble, everything is held up by the power of his word. If he spoke it he will do it.

God did not want Adam and Eve to turn their power and authority over to Satan.

When that happened in the Garden of Eden God had to turn the power and authority over to Satan, so God wouldn’t have to change his word.

Matthew 4:8-10   Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

⁹ And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

¹⁰ Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Through Adam and Eve’s disobedience it gave Satan their power and authority and dominion over the hearth.

Earth at that time didn’t belong to them or God. It belonged to Satan. From that day on a curse was put on the Earth.

At that point God couldn’t make another man out of dirt, because the dirt belonged to Satan.

So God had to use another Human to get back what Adam lost.

He had to use a human to bring the human race back into a relationship with him.

That is why he sent Jesus, His beloved Son to restore what was lost.

Through Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection, he finished his work and regained what was lost.

Now through this period of restoration our unrestricted unconditional authority is back in our hands.

So what ever you bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.

If you have sickness in your body the word says I give you authority over it.

Psalms 82:6   I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

He is not saying that you are divine gods, he is saying that in the sense of ruler ship and authority has been given to you.

You are like gods of the earth because you have been given dominion and control the earth.

Isaiah 45:11-12   Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

¹² I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

God is saying command what he has accomplished. Command and finish the work of Jesus Christ.

Command your healing into existence.

Command your prosperity into existence.

Command your deliverance into existence.

 

This church has no lack.

We have power of attorney; this is God’s given power to use in the name of Jesus.

He created the earth, but he gave you the authority to operate in it, as though you created it.

Psalms 115:16   The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

We have been given the authority to command all the finished works of Jesus Christ, concerning every aspect of your life.
 

Tell the devil, I am not giving my body to you any more. I have authority and you are not getting my body.

This is what Satan envies so much.

This is what Satan wants, unconditional unrestricted authority.

The person that rebels against God gives the authority to Satan, and Satan becomes the god of this world and your life.

2 Corinthians 4:4   In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

By keeping you blind, you will never know that you’re the one with the power and dominion.

And he is using your power and dominion to help destroy you.

So the mess that you are dealing with in your life: you have authorized the devil to use your power to produce the situation in your life.

Satan has no power over the believers; he is using your power to produce your situation.

Your sickness and diseases, stress, unhappiness, poverty, lack, all produced in your life by your authority.

Psalms 119:89   For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

Forever Gods word is settled in heaven.

Say and believe: This is the last day the devil is going to play on me with his deception.

Malachi 3:6   For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

God is never going to change; he is the same today, tomorrow and forever.

Romans 6:16   Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

God is a spirit, Satan is a spirit, and they both need our body to empower them to do what needs to be done.

So it’s up to you to tell Satan he has no power over you as a believer. That you’re not afraid of him, and you’re not fooling with him any more.

Is it choices or lack of Knowledge?

Hosea 4:6    My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

My people (the believers) are being destroyed, because of lack of knowledge, and because they have rejected my knowledge, I am rejecting them and their children.

Because of spiritual darkness, which is lack of knowledge, there is no revelation of God’s word.

When you reject Gods knowledge of the word, you also reject His heavenly laws that he has set in motion.

People are powerless today, not because there is no power available, but because the power and authority Jesus made possible for believers has not been activated by faith in Gods word.

The fullness of God, the promise of God, and the provision of God: led by the Holy Spirit will complete the purpose that God has for your life.

Whether we are believers or non believers we are made up of Body, soul and spirit.

But until you make Jesus the Lord of your life, and accept Him as savior, the spirit of God won’t be activated in your spiritual life.

The children of Israel wandered in the desert for forty years, because they focused on their yesterday, instead of their tomorrow.

Stop thinking negative thoughts that can control your life.

Don’t let these thoughts control what God has for you. Think about Gods promise of a better tomorrow.

In God we trust is more than a statement engraved on our coins, it must be the guidance principle that governs every action of our life.

God’s word gives us a new hope, and new thoughts and a glorious new life.

One of our greatest battles is the battle of the mind.

Isaiah 55:6-9   Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

⁸ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We must give up our wicked ways of the world and the unrighteous thoughts so God will have mercy on us and we can regain His favor on us.

For His thoughts are different from our thoughts, His thoughts and His ways are higher than ours.

As long as you live in a mortal body, your carnal natural mind is the place where your fight will be won or lost.

Eph 6:10-12   Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We don’t battle against flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness in high places.

If you are a believer, Satan can’t fight you in the spiritual realm any more. He can and will battle you in your mind.

The devil can deceive you, but deception is all he has to work with.

This doesn’t mean that he will just pack up and go home.

He is still going to try to steal, kill and destroy your life and your relationship with Christ Jesus.

He is going to try to do it by gaining control of your mind or your way of thinking.

If you’re going to take a successful stand against the devil, you will have to do it on the battlefield of your mind.

If we start looking away from Jesus, our eyes will be deceived. We must keep Jesus in our sight.

We must get beyond the physical realm.

Eph 1:3-7   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

⁴ According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

⁵ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Being chosen for salvation, adopted as His children, forgiveness of sin, insight, the gifts of the spirit, power to do Gods will, and the hope of His glory through Christ Jesus, living forever in heaven, are just some of the benefits of being saved, and making Jesus the Lord of your life.

If you are a believer of His word and you have a relationship with Jesus you can enjoy these blessings now.

Romans 8:17   And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

God has identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is Gods guarantee that he will give us everything he promised.

And that he has purchased us to be his own people, as Jesus is, so are we.

The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God can not keep you.

The cross of Calvary has made it possible for you to rise above and beyond the physical realm by accepting the finished work at the cross through his son Jesus Christ.

So how do we rise from the way we see ourselves into how God sees us?

Don’t allow what we experience in our physical senses or our emotions to control what we think.

The Holy Spirit confirms a higher spiritual reality, it is confirmed by us being able to understand and discern Gods word.

It is the ability to conceive of something that you can not see with your natural eyes or natural mind.

We must go beyond the physical realm. The natural or carnal thinking will lead us over into the area of doing things in our own self effort or our own strength.

God is directing your life for a purpose. Everyday is not always pretty. Welcome to Christian reality.
