The Inner Man, part one

The Inner Man, part one

3 John 2…Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

The human person is made up of three individual personalities called, body, soul and spirit.

The body is the temple or housing for the spirit man to operate thru, In relation to the natural world

The soul is also made up of three parts, the mind, will and emotion.

The spirit is only one same as our body.

The human body takes in food, but you don’t have to educate the body as to how the food is to be digested, and how the food contributes to benefit the bodies function.

The body doesn’t have to think, it does what comes naturally…

But when you feed the spirit man, you do have to think.

Why? because your spirit man is similar to a computer.  A computer can be plugged into the power and turned on, but if it hasn’t been programmed it will only give you a blank screen.

Why? It is simple, if there is nothing going into the heart of the computer, nothing can come out.

It is the exact same thing with the spirit man, the heart of any thing is the central part. In essence, heart of man, heart of the watermelon and so forth.

Matthew 12: 34   O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks…

The heart does not speak thru the soul, it speaks thru the inner man, which is the heart of the person or spirit or inner man, spiritually speaking they are the same.

The food or words for the spirit man or inner man, is fed thru the eyes and ears, to the mind, which is part of the soul.

At that time this has to be decide by the mind (or thinking part), and by the will, and by the emotions, which is the soul, as to how the spirit or inner man should receive this information.

Remember what it said in Matthew 12: 34. What goes in thru the soul comes out of the abundance of the heart, or the inner man.

If your eyes and ears take in the wrong information, then your soul has to deal with this before it gets to your spirit man.

If you see something that God wouldn’t approve of, bind it right then so it won’t go in your spirit man.

Same thing with hearing something worldly, rebuke it and say that is not my thought.

Matthew 15: 18-19   But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies:

The reason this spiritual war is so hard for the natural person is every word you hear whether good or bad, religious or non-religious has to go thru the soul.

Every thing you see good or bad also has to go thru the soul. Let’s get a mental picture going here

You hear something, good or bad, wrong or right, religious or non-religious…

At this time your soul, which is made up of the mind, will and emotions has to direct this information that is coming in.

Now which one of the three parts of the soul is going to do the directing?

Your mind which is carnal?

Your emotions which are natural?

Or your will, which is controlled either by the natural ability from your mind or emotions or supernatural ability governed by the Holy Spirit.

Only one will feed your spirit or inner man. That is why we need to put on the full armor of God.

This armor is to protect the spirit man.

The name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus and the word of God protect the natural man.

The coverage of the armor is as following…

The helmet Protects the soul or thinking part of you.

The breastplate covers and protects the heart which is the place or dwelling of the Holy Spirit.

The belt of truth is to girt your self with the truths of God.

The gospel shoes are to protect your peace of mind while going thru tribulations on earth.

The two edged sword is the word of God

The shield of faith is to protect you from the fiery darts of the wicked.

BEING SET APART

BEING SET APART

1ST COR 1: 29-30   That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

We know Jesus has been made sanctification and holiness for us

Jesus has also been made righteousness and redemption for us.

We can not call ourselves righteous unless we except Jesus who has made us righteous.

Without Jesus, we can not be righteous

We can’t say we are redeemed without accepting Jesus who is our redeemer.

We can’t say we have wisdom without accepting Jesus who is our wisdom.

When we receive Jesus He is our everything; He is our wisdom, our righteousness our holiness and our redemption.

Holiness can’t be reduced down to conduct. Holiness is a person and his name is Jesus.

When we get Jesus we get sanctification. When we get Jesus we get holiness.

But we can’t get holiness until we get Jesus, and     we can’t get sanctification until we get Jesus.               We can’t be righteous until we get Jesus.

So when you have Jesus you have everything.

The book of Romans says I give you my Son and with him you can freely receive all things.

For Christians, Jesus is everything for us.

God’s way of deliverance is to take your eyes off yourself and put them on Jesus.

If you want to be healed, know that life is in Him, when you know you have the life of God living throughout the whole of you the other things God has for you are going to be there.

We must get our eyes off our circumstances and back on Jesus. That is the key to all deliverance.

When the snakes were killing the people in the desert, God told Moses to put a serpent on a stick and when they looked upon it they would be healed.

God wanted them to get their eyes off their circumstances.

When you start getting your eyes off of circumstances and get your eyes on Jesus, you are going to start moving into the supernatural.

Holiness to the world looks different to them than it looks to the body of Christ.

2nd Cor 3:18   But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

This means we see Jesus through the word of God. The Holy Spirit will now change us into the image of what we behold.

Not your self effort, not your works, the Holy Spirit is going to change you into what you behold.

As you get into the word and start to see the glory in the word, and you see Jesus in the word, the Holy Spirit says I am going to change the things about you to this image.

Then you look up one day and your financial situation has changed, and the Dr. said you were sick but you kept looking at the word and the Holy Spirit changed you into that image.

The Holy Spirit can’t change you without you looking at Jesus and the Word.

If you don’t change and get into the word, twenty years from now you will be in the same image that you are in now.

But if you will get in the word, and see your life through the word, instead of the circumstances around you, you will bypass natural processes and will be connected to supernatural processes and when you look up one day, and you see that you look like the image of God, that which you have been looking at.

When things come up in your life, don’t respond in the natural, because you will only stay in the natural.

1st Peter 2: 9   But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

We are a purchased people, Purchased by the blood of Jesus.

John 17: 15   I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Jesus does not say take them out of the world, but rather I am going to take you out of the influence of it.

NOT BY OUR WORK

NOT BY OUR WORKS

Romans 8:34-39… Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is

risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who can separate us from the love of Christ?

Nothing can ever separate us from His love

Death can’t, and life can’t, the angel can’t, and demons can’t, and even the powers of hell can’t keep Gods love away.

Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God, that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We have to believe that we are highly favored and beloved by God.

If you have done something in your past or in your life that has convinced you that God doesn’t love you, you must get rid of it right now.

You must settle it with God, for he wants to prosper you in every way.

3rd John 2…Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Prosperity is not just about money, God wants to prosper you in every way.

God is saying he wants all things well with you as your soul prospers… above all things.

Prosperity in your spirit…is being born again.

Prosperity in your soul… is renewing your mind

Prosperity in your body… is being healthy and being well.

Start meditating in this, being consciously aware that God loves you.

When you don’t believe God loves you and you look around and see things are not working for you, you will have a problem with every promise God has made for you.

You will think that’s not for me, I’ve done so many bad things.

The devil has a hard time bringing the problems and destruction to the lives of people, who know they are highly loved of God.

Under the law, God had a part and you had a part.

Under the law it was about what ever you do, God does, under the law… do good, get good.

Romans 6:14…For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

We are no longer under the Law; Sin has no more dominion over us, now we are under grace.

Under grace there is a new way of freedom

It is the gift of Jesus that we have no condemnation.

To condemn a building, means it has no further use.

Don’t even think if you happen to miss the mark, that you can no longer be used of God.

If you’re born again, God can always find a use for you, if you are willing to be used by Him.

Prospering in every way is subject to the prosperity of a person’s soul.

Even as your soul prospers, so everything else will prosper.

As goes you soul, so goes everything else.

As a man thinketh, then in his heart so is he.

The devil will always try to get a person in the area of wrong thinking.

Because he knows wrong thinking will prevent you being successful in every way.

So who is governing your thinking, is it your five senses, what you see, what you hear, smell or taste, or maybe it is what you feel…

What you are exposed to will determine how you think.

You must bring your thinking to be on nothing else but the things of God.

It is about making adjustments so you can be successful in every way.

Wrong thinking will produce wrong living

Wrong thinking will not let you be successful in every way.

Walking in the flesh does not line up with the word of God.

Walking in the spirit is the way of thinking that lines up with the word of God.

Above all things, walk in the truth.

John 1:17…For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

You will either live a life of merited favor of God, which is undeserved favor, because we can’t earn it, or works in our own self effort can’t earn it.

Every successful outcome that was successful because of the favor of God… it was never you.

You have to be careful not to confuse what God made happen with you making it happen.

Sometime supernatural things can look natural.

RIGHTEOUS CONCIOUS

RIGHTEOUS CONCIOUS

2ND Timothy 2: 19…19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and the finished work of the cross, we become a new creation. At that moment that we accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit seals this new spirit, or new creation, and lives or dwells in us.

The Holy Spirit reveals Gods wisdom, to our spirit, keeping us on the path of righteousness. We are heirs to the kingdom of God and no devil in hell can take this away from you.

John 10: 27-30… 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30 I and my Father are one.

No one can take you out of Jesus’ hand, and even if they could, they can’t take you out of the Fathers hand… Jesus and the Father are as one…

Hebrews 13: 5… 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Jesus says, I will never leave you or forsake you… and by no means will I ever forsake you, we must believe that.

2 Corinthians 5: 21…For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

God made Jesus to be sin for us… who knew no sin… Jesus died so we could live, he was born to die. He died so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. He was made sin so we could be made righteous He did nothing to be made sin; we did nothing to be made righteous.

Matthew 7: 21-23… 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Someone might say, just because you are saved, doesn’t mean you will go to heaven. That automatically puts you on the works mentality.

If you believe that, and except it, you will revert back to the Law, doing things under your own effort… you will fail. That is where Satan wants to keep you; he knows that he can defeat you if you are in your own effort.

This is the reason we must stay with a righteous conscious…

These people Jesus was talking to were not Christians, had they been he would have known them. What he was saying, never at any time did I have a relationship with them, that I knew them. Here is what he said, depart from me, you workers of iniquity, for I never knew you

These people depended on their works and not what Jesus did at the cross. He accused these people of their iniquities…

Before you can use that scripture, you have to figure out, who are these people saying Lord, Lord. Who are these people that are questioning, have I not prophesied in your name?

Luke 6: 46… 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

These people never did prophecy, they did cast out demons…they never did good works, they were deceived.

Many people today think signing a card, joining a church, being baptized and many wonderful works of the flesh, believing works produce salvation. So many people have been trained that the wonderful works will save you, works will not save you.

These people that Jesus is speaking about are not born again believers…They were not operating in the spiritual gifts, and fell away, and became reprobates.

Romans 1:28-29… 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

A reprobate mind is a person rejected by God. They are excluded from or beyond the hope of salvation. A worker of the flesh is a worker of iniquity. The wages of sin is for the worker of iniquity

The gift of righteousness is for the believer. If you are a believer and have been born again, he will know you; you are what God made you.
