The Spirit of Fear
May 27, 2013
2nd Timothy 1: 7 says… for God hat not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind…
Fear will always direct you onto the path of destruction. Fear will take you farther than you want to go and keep you longer than you want to stay…
Fear will compromise your hope and faith in Gods word and will always cause doubt and confusion in a persons life.
This is how the evil spirit of fear works…the spirit of fear is of Satan, the devil, and he at all cost is killing, stealing and destroying as many of us as he can.
He is determined to have things his way and is willing to fight to have it. Are you willing to fight to keep him from having his way with you?
Jesus has already fought the fight for us and made it possible for us to have victory over this spirit of fear and confusion.
All we need to do is accept that Jesus has fought and won the battle. We need to reject Satan when he tries to put fear on us.
A lot of people do not realize that we have an enemy. They go from day to day operating in their own strength wondering why they are failing at everything they try to do.
Why do they fail, because they don’t have the Holy Spirit working in their life, leading them in the path of Gods will for their life.
Satan has stolen their joy, their life is being controlled by deception and they have been stripped of any hope for the future.
If you went to Mexico to see the bull fights, you would realize the bull doesn’t have a clue who the enemy is. The bull is about to be killed and he thinks his enemy is the red cape that the matador has. We are like the bull… no clue who the real enemy is.
Listen to these words of God. 1st Peter 5: 8 says… be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.
Know who your enemy is, when he tries to put fear in your heart rebuke him… he will try to deceive you.
If you have accepted Jesus as Lord of your life, you have the anointing of the Holy Spirit to guide you and counsel you on your path of righteousness.
If you are not saved, accept Jesus as Lord today. You are not alone, God loves you just as you are. He is willing to accept you just as you are.
May joy and peace abound in you life.
Brother Andy.
