TRUSTING GOD IN THE STORM THROUGH PERILOUS TIMES

TRUSTING GOD IN THE STORM THROUGH PERILOUS TIMES

How can we be so confused about the word of God?

When there is only one God, one son, one Holy Spirit and one message.

Why can’t we get in one accord and have one understanding. There is power in unity.

Matthew 18:20    For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

The way I see this is we should be in one accord agreeing together.

The reason we don’t see things in the same way is that there is a spirit of bondage called rebellion.

Romans 8:15   For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Galatians 5:1   Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Some people figure the word of God doesn’t fit their lifestyle. They want to wait until they are done having fun before they make a commitment to God.

Others don’t think they can live up to the expectations of what the word requires of them to be, Lack of faith.

Then there are those who turn a deaf ear to what the word is saying. They don't have time or the inclination to listen to the word.

To some folks it is just plain lack of knowledge. It seems lack of knowledge is running deep in our society.

Hosea 4:6    My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Romans 4:13   For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Abraham was not under the law but of promise through the righteousness of faith.

Abraham was fully persuaded that God would bring Isaack back to life when God asked him to sacrifice him on the alter. He knew God was able, based on His word.

It is a mistake to question the ability and willingness of God.

Abraham, Daniel, Shadrac, Meshack, Abendnego  and David were all persuaded that God would come through for them. They had an unwavering faith in God.

Sometimes we need to be delivered from ourselves.

We need to not keep our eyes on circumstances instead we need to keep our eyes on what the word says.

Holiness says that we do not have anything in common with the worlds mindset. We need to be more Word minded than world minded.

John 17: 13-16   And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

We must separate ourselves from the world system.  Don’t live under the worlds way of thinking.
It is starting to fall apart like a two dollar suitcase.

We must renew our minds with the word. Natural ability is not enough to win in this world. We can only survive the world by living in the Word.

Your emotions can not be in charge of your life… your spirit has to be in charge, subject to the word of God.

Our problem is we are not responding to what is being taught to us through Gods word.

The word says, Trust God. He can strengthen your inner man. Then you can begin to focus on what the Lord says.

When you are under the obedience of grace, sin won’t have dominion over you.

There are no if's in Gods plans. It is based on your believing. Turn away from sin and iniquity. Live for the Lord. Stand in his Grace.

Walking in the spirit is trusting God to do what you can’t do. We are not able to stand under the pressure of this world without the protection of God.

God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. Rest in Him. Learn to trust in Him.

1 Corinthians 14:33     33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
