THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD

Lesson from 2- 10- 17

THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD

We are to live on this planet; in this time and hour; by the law of life that governs the world by the Spirit. Not by the law of sin and death that governs the world of the natural.

1 John 5:1   Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you were reborn from death to life. Being born of God entitles you to citizenship in the Kingdom of God.

Luke 12:32   32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

It is God pleasure to give us the Kingdom. You don’t own a part of the Kingdom, you own it all. In verses of scripture Jesus states the primary goal of the Christian life is by seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

So,© what exactly is the Kingdom of God? Some people think the Kingdom of God is in Heaven, but, the kingdom in its literal understanding is not heaven.

Heaven is the place where God lives, but the kingdom of God involves more than that. The kingdom of God is basically God himself because he can’t be separated from His kingdom.

God is the kingdom. Without Him the kingdom would not even exist.

The kingdom of God includes more than heaven. Just as the kingdom of earth is more than just this planet.

The kingdom of earth includes the atmosphere around it, and the laws that govern it. The kingdom of God is the world of the spirit, and governed by God and the laws of God.

As believers, we operate by spiritual laws. The same laws that govern Gods kingdom.

Romans 8:1-2   8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Without Jesus, we would have no hope at all. He declared us not guilty and has offered us freedom from sin, and the power to do His will.

This life-giving spirit is the Holy Spirit. He was present at the creation of the world, and he is the power behind the rebirth of every Christian.

He gives the power we need to live the Christian life.

Knowing we are citizens in the kingdom is great, but without a revelation of righteousness we will never know the reality of our kingdom rights.

Righteousness is right standing with God. It is a free gift that is received by faith, not by feelings. Righteousness has been made manifest by faith in Christ Jesus, it has already come.

Romans 3:21-24   21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Let’s look at this through Gods eyes. God sees the believer through his word; he sees us in Christ Jesus. God doesn’t look at us the way we look at ourselves.

We need to see ourselves the way God sees us. Then we will be able to see our actions as of no condemnation. What God sees is what we really are; made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

We may not feel like it, or look like it sometimes, but it is true, we are His creation, the boy of Christ, the church in the earth today, one spirit with Christ Jesus, bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, and filled with his mighty Holy Spirit and power.

Matthew 6:33-34   33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

It is Gods will for us to own the kingdom. Remember what Jesus said, it’s your fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. It is Gods will for us to live above the present evil world.

Colossians 1:13-15 + verse 19     13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Verse 19   19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Giving thanks unto God, has made us able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Who has delivered us from the power of darkness.

The Colossians feared the unseen forces of darkness, but Paul is saying, the true believers have been transferred from darkness to light, from slavery to freedom, from guilt to forgiveness, from the power of Satan to the Power of God.

We have been rescued from a rebel kingdom to serve the rightful King. Our conduct should reflect our new allegiance.

Galatians 4:4-5    But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Jesus was born of a woman, He was human, He was born as a Jew, and was subject to Gods Law and he fulfilled it perfectly. Jesus was a perfect sacrifice because, although he was fully Human, He never sinned.

His death brought freedom for us who were enslave to sin so that we could be adopted into Gods family.

Galatians 4:5-7    To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Under Roman law an adopted child was guaranteed all legal rights to his father’s property, even if he was formerly a slave. He was not a second class son, he was equal to all other sons.

Biological or adopted in his father’s family as adopted children of God we share with Jesus all rights to God’s resources. As Gods heirs we can claim what He has provided for us as full identity as his children.

John 16:13-15   13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Jesus said when the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever He shall hear. That shall He speak, and he will show you things to come, he shall glorify me, for He shall receive of Mine, and show it unto you.

All things that he the Father hath are mine, therefore said I, that He shall take of mine and show it unto you. This is an open invitation for the spirit of God to show us the very insides of God Himself.

It is a magnificent blessing to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God and have such a close relationship with the father, he is the God of the universe and we are his very own children. He wants to bless and prosper us as His family so that we can go forth in His power, not only to rule over the evil in the world but to feed the world.

Matthew 6:33   33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Learn to hear the voice of wisdom and rely on God, who is inside you, to guide you in every area of your life.
