BELIEVING ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES

BELIEVING ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES

Ephesians 3:16   16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

If we want to receive Gods blessings, it is important that we stay in contact with other believers in the body of Christ. God speaks to each of us individually. Other believers have information that you may not have. Together we make a good support system for the perfection of God’s word in us.

The family of God includes all who have believed in Christ in the past, all those who believe in the present all who will believe in the future.

We are a family, because we have the same father. He is the source of all creation, the rightful owner of everything. Even He is the owner of everything He loves sharing with His children.

God promises His love and his power to his family. It is an awesome privilege to be able to approach God with freedom and confidence.

When you feel shut out or isolated, remember that you can never be lost to Gods love, in union with Christ Jesus, and through His empowering spirit we are complete in Gods peace.

Hebrews 13: 20-21   20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The same God of peace that raised Jesus from the dead, is the same God through the blood of Jesus that gives us this everlasting covenant, to make us perfect in every good work, to equip us with all we need for doing His will.

This blood bought covenant was designed for the redeemed (or Christians) to continue the work, from the example that Jesus set before us.

John 14: 12-14   12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Jesus is the visible, tangible image of the invisible God, He is the complete revelation of what God is like.

Jesus said; verily, verily, which means “in truth” I am saying to you in truth, that the people who believe on me, the works that you have personally seen me do, you can do also.

And greater works than these shall you do, because I am going to my father, and whatever you need for the work of the Kingdom, that will I do.

That the father may be glorified in the Son, if you shall ask anything in my name I will do it.

The reason Jesus said greater works than theses shall you do, is not meaning per say ‘greater’ works, he was saying, I am sending the Holy Spirit to guide you with the same power and authority that I used.

Matthew 28:18   18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

God the Father gave Jesus authority over heaven and earth, and on the basis of that authority, Jesus told his disciples to make more disciples as they preached, baptized and taught, with the same authority.

Jesus still commands us to tell others the good news, and make them disciples for the Kingdom. You don’t have to be a preacher/teacher to spread the good news to the lost.

Matthew 10: 5-8   These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Why didn’t Jesus want to send the disciples to teach the gentiles or Samaritans? A gentile is anyone who is not a Jew. The Samaritans were a race that resulted from inter marriage between Jews and gentiles.

Jesus asked the disciples to go only to the Jews, he came first to the Jews.

Romans 1: 16   16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The reason the message went to the Jew first is because they had been Gods chosen people for more than two thousand years. Ever since God chose Abraham and promised him and his descendants great blessings.

God did not choose the Jews because they deserved to be chosen, but because he wanted to show His love and mercy to them.

For it would be through them that his messiah would come into the world. God chose them not to play favorites, but so that they would tell the world about the plan of salvation.

The bible clearly teaches that Gods message of salvation is for all people, regardless of race, sex or national origin.

If you are a believer, the blessings are always in reach.

Luke 11:28   28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Proverbs 28:22   22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

When people rush, and do things trying to get rich they can sometimes be deceived by people, and often loose what little they have.

When they stop focusing on God, and see the glitter of the world, then they stop considering the things of God, all ‘these things’ will come to us by being obedient to His word.

The richest blessings are knowing Christ Jesus as Lord, your fellowship with God, the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, and friends you can count on.
