CONSIDERING GODS UNDERSTANDING

2 Timothy 2:7   ⁷ Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

God speaks through the bible, His word. We need to be open and receptive to Him as we read the word. Ask God to reveal the truth of it by His Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will open your spiritual eyes and give you discerning (understanding). When you read the word meditate on it, don’t just read it like a common book.

The bible is a living word. It is for perfecting of the saints (Christians), for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the Body of Christ.

Ephesians 1: 17   ¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding comes from God the father, through the Holy Spirit who reveals the truth to your spirit.

Many believers want an abundance of Gods special favor and understanding, but they are unwilling to put forth the effort to seek his word and know him better.

God allows us to share in his divine nature so we can lead a godly life and empowers us with his own goodness, confidence through His word. It is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.

Two unchangeable things are Go promise and his oath. He cannot lie, because God is truth. You never need to wonder if He will change his plans.

When God says to consider what I say, he is saying His wisdom is higher than our wisdom and his wisdom is a wisdom that doesn’t belong to this world or to the rulers of this world.

God gives us the understanding that the heavens are higher than the earth, and His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than ours.

When God speaks it shall not return to Him void. But it shall accomplish that which He pleases and it shall prosper in the thing where he sends it.

We can’t even imagine with our natural minds what God has prepared for us and our lives.

God reveals his word, not as the wisdom of man, but by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. For the wisdom of the natural man is foolishness to God.

1 Corinthians 1:19   ¹⁹ For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

In other words, I will reject the intelligence of the intelligent people, the people of the world system. If you only have worldly wisdom and not spiritual wisdom your foundation if not framed on the word of God will crumble.

When you speak the word of God through faith, the words you speak activates Gods word, transferring the word directly through your spirit to the natural.

God hears the words of His word when we speak them, when spoken in faith, those words go into our soul and transfers to the heart (the spiritual heart) and out of the abundance of the heart we speak and Gods word goes into action.

It is God releasing or transferring His power and authority from the supernatural to the natural, or, from the spirit man to the natural man.

When you get Gods understanding, you can be confident of the good work of God which he will perform in you.

When you speak the word, you are decreeing and declaring the word to manifest in the things Jesus made available to us at the cross.

Release the wisdom of the word in everything that pertains to the purposes of your life.

Start trusting God at His word, He is still in control, don’t try and lean to your own understanding.

The Evil Spirt of Fear

2^nd Timothy 1:7     ⁷ For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Romans 8:6    ⁶ For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Renewing your mind is exchanging your thoughts, your beliefs and your opinions, for Gods thoughts, Gods beliefs and Gods opinion, which is His word.

Gods power, Gods love and a sound mind will win over anything Satan can come up with.

Fear in America is destroying lives and people are not even aware of why everything is so chaotic in their lives.

The spirit of fear is evil, it will put you in bondage. Bondage will lead you into confusion. It will cause stress in your life, and will always lead to depression. Now you are over in Satan’s arena. 

Satan definitely plays hardball. When you get to this point you will do things and say things you normally would never do. Especially to friends and family.

A very large percentage of people have this problem today. The reason Satan is getting by with it is we allow it. You must know your enemy.

Satan’s only weapons are manipulation and deception. You need know how he works his deception to destroy you. He will manipulate all people, even little children. 

It is time to rise up and put the devil in his place.

1 Peter 5:6-8   ⁶ Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

⁷ Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Turn your anxiety over to God. Be sober, keep your mind clear and alert, because the devil who is the accuser of the brethren, prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

Malachi 3: 11   ¹⁰ Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

¹¹ And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

Folks this is real. God is real, Satan is real, heaven is real, and Hell is real.

John 14:6   ⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Most of what we see today is people denying the truth and have a form of godliness. Saying, it feels right and everyone is doing it, it must be ok.

It is true that the truth will set you free. But only if you know it and apply it to your life.  

John 10:10   ¹⁰ The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Satan who is called the devil, really does not want you to know any of this.

First, he doesn’t want you to know he is a killer, a stealer and certainly does not want you to know he is a destroyer.  

Second, he most certainly does not want you to know that you can have life in abundance by accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior. 

The question is, how hard are you willing to fight to keep him from winning. He is trying to steal your right to heaven and life eternal with the Father. As well as all the blessings, the Father has for you.

Believe it or not, we are in a spiritual war, a war for our very soul. Satan certainly does not want you to know that once you have accepted Jesus as Lord and savior he has lost the spiritual battle for your soul.

Here are a few of the things that Satan doesn’t want you to know.

Satan doesn’t want you to know that when Jesus died on the cross his blood was so pure until it cleansed your spirit man so clean until the Holy Spirit of God could come in and live in your spirit. When the Holy Spirit came into your spirt He sealed your spirit.

That is why 1 John 4:4 says greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

Satan doesn’t want you to know the truth, because he knows the truth will set you free from the bondage of fear.

John 8:32   ³² And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Satan doesn’t want you to know that you have the victory in your life because of the new blood covenant.

He doesn’t want you to know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Philippians 4:13   ¹³ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

He doesn’t want you to know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose.

He for sure doesn’t want you to know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that no man comes to the father but by Jesus Christ.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself. As long as you have Jesus you have everything you need.

This is a perfect opportunity to lift your hands up to the Lord and ask Him to come into your heart and be the Lord and Savior of your life.

It’s really simple, just make the decision to follow Him. I have.

The Spiritual Force of Faith

We have all been given a measure of faith. It is up to us to use it to reach out to God, to have a meaningful relationship with Him.

Hebrews 11:6   ⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We know from this what pleases God, but what is faith?

Hebrews 11:1    Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith in God’s word, creates a substance in you that is hoped for. This substance in you is a real thing. That is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us.

Even if we cannot see it up ahead, faith is the full assurance of Gods holy word. Faith is real, faith creates substance created by faith.

In other words, it is conformation or the proof of things we do not see.

We can’t see the air we breathe but your breathing is conformation or proof that it is there. It is confidence in God’s word that He will do all that He says He will.

Faith will sanctify you, faith will make you whole.

Walking by faith is the world’s way of walking.

Hebrews 10:38   ³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

If you are born again you are the Just that this verse is talking about. Faith is the word of God, you cannot separate faith and the word.

Faith is not based on your feelings, it is based on the inspired word of God. Your feelings are not going to move God, you can fall down, kick and squall, it will not move God.

The only things that will move God is faith in his word, obedience to his word and praying in confidence.

It is impossible to claim faith by a blessing that we are not certain that God offers. If you don’t know Gods will, you don’t have any basis for faith to work on.

Faith is expecting God to do what we know it is his will to do.

How do you know faith works? You can’t see faith.

You know faith works because God word says it does.

You will never have faith in God or his word until you make up your mind to trust him. You need to build a relationship with him. He wants to fellowship with you.

God never changes, his word never changes. Real faith says, if Gods word says it then it is true.

God’s word says it is mine, then it is mine. I have it now. If it is not now it is not faith.

I have it now even though I can’t see it.

I have it now because God cannot lie.

God has told us without faith it is impossible to please Him.

God has provided the way where everyone can have faith.

Real faith is built on and grows out of the word of God.

IT IS FINISHED

My lesson today is being written because the time of Jesus’ return is getting closer. This event is referred to as the rapture.

So many people aren’t prepared for this event. They don’t understand the consequences of missing the Rapture.

When Jesus said it is finished He was saying to all mankind, everything you need on planet earth has now been made available to you.

On the cross, Jesus took all our sin upon himself, all of Gods wrath, and at the same time he traded his life for our life. He took our life of sin and gave us a covenant of life and grace with the Father.

By accepting what Jesus did, we won’t miss the rapture, therefore we will be spending eternity with Him.

Let me start at the beginning so the ones who don’t understand what I am saying will come closer to knowing and understanding the truth.

In the garden of Eden, God told Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden.

Genesis 3:3   ³ But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

When God said lest ye die, he wasn’t talking about a physical death, he was speaking of a spiritual death.

Before God made Eve, he had already given Adam compete freedom in the garden, with the responsibility to tend and care for, but one tree was off limits.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam had told Eve about this. She knew when Satan approached her that the fruit was not to be eaten.

She decided to eat the forbidden fruit and Adam also ate it. At that moment, the fate of creation was set in motion.

In that moment of rebellion, something beautiful, large and free was shattered: Gods creation.

Adam was separated from God by his desire to act on his own, those thousands of fragments could not be re-gathered

In the case of Adam and Eve’s rebellion, God already had a plan in motion to overcome the effects of the rebellion.

The entire bible is the story of how that plan unfolds. Ultimately leading to Gods own visit to earth through his son Jesus.

Jesus’ sinless life and death made it possible for God to offer forgiveness to all who want it. Our small and large acts of rebellion prove that we are descendants of Adam. Only by asking forgiveness of Jesus Christ can we become children of God.

Since the rebellion of Adam, everyone from that day forward to date, are separated from God. The one and only way to have fellowship with God is to have a relationship with His Son, Jesus by accepting what he made available at the cross.

Everything was lost at the garden of Eden, everything was restored at the cross.

John 19:30   ³⁰ When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Everything Jesus came for was finished. When the word finished is spoken it means to end or complete. The one who is the “finisher” is Christ Jesus, the Son of God.

The word for finisher is a decisive happening, which puts an end to something at the cross. The curse of Adam was reversed so we can now have fellowship with our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 12:2   ² Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Christian life requires us to struggle against sin with the power of the Holy Spirit. To live effectively we must keep our eyes on Jesus.

We will fail if we look away from Jesus and start looking at the circumstances surrounding us. We are not alone, there is help. Christian maturity develops our patience and makes our final victory sweet.

Let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, whom our faith depends on from start to finish.

14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

When trouble shows up, be patient. Don’t go to your natural way of thinking. Go to the Lord and let him walk with you through the trouble.

In every situation in life there is always a promise and a provision for it in Gods word.

John 14:13-14King James Version (KJV)

¹³ And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁴ If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

The very reason people don’t receive is they don’t ask. When they do ask, a lot of the time it is not in line with Gods Word.

Matthew 6:33King James Version (KJV)

³³ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Believe in your heart that you are the righteousness of God. Confess with your mouth. Then you have the right to what to the thing you have asked for and what you say.

A lot of people don’t what to grow and develop in the word, but they want the blessing of the word.

We are to love God with all our heart and soul leaning on Him. Especially when we are in trouble and need Him, we should be leaning in closer to him.

God still hears our prayers and still answers prayers.

We need to have assurance in God that if we ask anything according to his will (which is his word) He will hear us.

Start seeing your self as God sees you. You will be amazed at how much different you will see yourself.

If you are a born again believer, then you are a child and heir in the Kingdom of God. You are not of this world: you are just passing through on your way to heaven.

The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you. Gods grace is sufficient to handle all of your troubles.

If your trouble is depression, let God comfort you.

God is the way; he will walk you through what ever it takes to provide for you.

His word is the truth; you can be assured God is always on your side.

Jesus said, I will never leave you or forsake you. He said I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.

We have a loving and compassionate heavenly Father, who gives us comfort in our time of need.

He comforts us in all our suffering and tribulation. He does this so when other people suffer we are able to comfort them as he comforted us.

Let not your heart be troubled, it will only lead you to thinking in the natural. Wrong thinking leads to wrong living

Ask the Holy Spirit to quicken your spirit, that you can rise above the natural and ask him to take you to Gods supernatural realm of thinking.

All of the answers for the problems of this world can be answered by leaning on God and his Word.

SPEAKING THE POWER OF PRAYER

Words are the most powerful thing in the universe, especially when you are praying.

When God created heaven and earth, he did it by speaking it into existence with words.

It worked by using the spoken word or because of words.

When we pray, God always hears our prayers. Does God always answer prayers? I pray he does.

If you said no to that, we are going to have some exciting word today on this very subject.

John 16: 23-24   ²³ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

²⁴ Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

What day was He talking about? The day he ascends and is seated at the right hand of the father.

Jesus said to ask the Father in His name. there is not any other way. This gives glory to God the Father.

However, we are to tell Jesus how much we love Him and appreciate Him. But when it comes to praying and asking we must ask the Father, through the Lord Jesus, or in his name.

We as believers have the name of Jesus to access everything in Heaven and on earth that God has made available for us.

Ephesians 3:14-16   ¹⁴ For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁵ Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

¹⁶ That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

It is not so important to what church you belong. But it is important to whose family you belong.

People know about praying to God, but they know nothing of praying to the Father. Many don’t sound as if they really know Him.

He is God to the world, but heavenly father to the believer. There is real joy in knowing that the father will answer our prayers.

John 16:24   ²⁴ Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Have you asked nothing in my name? That is a question.

Ask and ye shall receive that your Joy may be full.

Nehemiah 8:10   ¹⁰ Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Joy has to be maintained even before the manifestation comes, (before you receive what you ask for.)

Ephesians 5:20   ²⁰ Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Paul is telling us that it is to the father and not to Jesus that we give thanks. The name of Jesus is the access to the heart of the Father.

Using the name of Jesus at the end of your prayer is the same as giving an attorney authority to use your name, it is called a power of attorney. That is what the name of Jesus does for us.

We have the name of Jesus to unlock the power over the devil, sickness and disease as well as poverty. We use it over our household and our children.

If a person was going to his car to unlock the door, he would say that he unlocked the door. But he really didn’t the key actually did the unlocking.

The key does the work. The key starts the ignition, the key is the whole power in the actions taken.

The point I am making is the name of Jesus is the key to the possible. Nothing is impossible in the name of Jesus.

The name of Jesus belongs to you the believer. You must use it according to the word.
