FEAR VS FAITH

 

Psalm 118:6   The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

 Fear not is in the bible over 60 times. Fear becomes doubt and unbelief when it is acted upon. Fear cancels out faith.

Fear is not natural to the born again believer.

 1^st John 4:15-18    ¹⁵ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

¹⁷ Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Satan can not do anything to us apart from fear; anymore than God can do something for us apart from faith.

Faith moves God because faith is in God…Fear move Satan because fear is in Satan.

Faith is a spiritual force it is Gods creative power… faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Fear is also a spiritual force; it is Satan’s destructive power. The substance of things not desired.

Faith comes by hearing the Word, fear comes by hearing the world.

Jesus is the author and developer of our faith… Satan develops and supports fear.

Romans 8:15   For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Fear is developed through meditating on it and acting on Satan’s lies…. Fear demands compromise.

To act on fear is to act as if Satan is bigger than God… Tell Satan to get behind you, the Holy Spirit will act after you act.

Fear causes oppression. Oppression (brought on by Satan) will take away everything God has blessed you with. Satan has no right to it.

Acts 10:38   Now God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

We have been released from oppression and fear. Fear depends on what it sees. It must have it to exist.

Faith depends on Gods word which is eternal. Keep your eyes on Jesus and the word. Then fear will be defeated in your life. No Christian filled with the Holy Spirit need fear the things of this world.

            Mark 11: 23   For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

            Christians are defeated because they believe and confess with their mouths wrong things.

            They have spoken the words of the enemy and these words hold them in bondage.

            Prov 6:2   Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

            Faith filled words will put you over into receiving Gods blessings.

Fear filled words will defeat you.

Words are the most powerful thing in the universe.

            Now what did Mark 11: 23 say, shall not doubt in his heart…don’t doubt is what Jesus is saying.

            Webster’s definition of doubt is:

·         to waiver or fluctuate

·         to be inclined to disbelieve or to hesitate

·         to question or hold as questionable

·         an unsettled point or matter

 

Mark 11: 23 read it again, this is not a theory it is a spiritual law. It works every time it is applied correctly.God releases his faith in words.

The principals of faith are based on spiritual laws. They work for who ever will apply these laws.

You set them in motion by the words of your mouth.

The body of Christ must begin to live in the authority of the word, for Gods word is creative power.

            That creative power is produced by the heart. Formed by the tongue and released out of the mouth in word form.

            For the word to be effective, men must speak it. And then that creative power of God will come forth, performing that which is spoken in faith.

            God says… my word is not void of power. My people are void of speech. They hear the world and speak as the world speaks.

            Let us study the word of God and learn the principals of speaking Gods creative power, not what the world has to say.

THE SPIRIT OF JOY AND PEACE

Nehemiah 8: 10 says… The joy of the Lord is our strength.

John 15: 11    these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

 What John is saying is that to be joyful in the Lord is to be established in the word of God.

 To be established is to be rooted in the word, so when situations arrive unexpectedly you will understand where to pull strength from. Stay alert and keep your joy.

 That’s why Paul stated in Eph 10… be strong in the Lord and the power of His might… Gods might.

 I understand what a lot of people are going through. I visit the Hospitals often, friends from church and loved ones, there are hours of prayer…

2^nd Timothy 1: 7     For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

You can’t feed a sound mind from watching television 24- 7. It will feed you lies and fear.

We shouldn’t think one minute  “I can do this”, and the next minute Jesus hold my hand.

Sounds like the spirit of Satan stepped in and stole your joy and power.

Satan the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy your joy, your peace and for sure your sound thinking. He is the father of deception.

To have the peace of God in your life you must know how to resist the devil and his lies. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus he has no right in any part of your life.

Jesus defeated him and redeemed us by his shed blood, and when he was nailed at the cross every blessing that heaven has to offer was made available through that finished work of the cross by Jesus Christ.

Your life, peace, joy, prosperity, hope, happiness and an eternal future with God depends on the time focused in the word and your faith in the word.

God loves you and wants peace and joy for you. You can find it through and in his word.

BATTLE OF THE MIND

Heb 12: 1-3  12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

² Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Before you can enjoy the kind of victory that God has made available for you, you must first learn about the strategies the devil is using against you.

You must learn how he operates, so you can put a stop to his operations in your life. You must find out exactly where he is going to attack you.

We must lay aside and get rid of everything that slows us down… sin, wrong desires…We must look away from ourselves, or at the circumstances surrounding us, and keep or eyes upon Jesus.

If we start looking away, our eyes will be deceived; we must keep Jesus in our sight.

We are not the first to struggle with the problems we face, look at what the disciples faced.

Look at what Jesus faced, he saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought Him.

Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God the father.

Unless you become weary and faint in your minds, you too will have an eternal position with Christ.

As long as you live in a mortal body, your carnal natural mind is the place where your fight with Satan will be won or lost. Some people think Satan’s attacks come in the realm of the spirit, but they don’t.

Jesus defeated him where the spirit realm is concerned…once and for all. When we made Jesus the Lord of our life, that victory became forever ours. The battle for your spirit is over; it has already been fought and won.

As a believer you have been spiritually re-born into the image of God. There is absolutely nothing the devil can do to change that.

You must understand the difference between the soul and the spirit.

When you’re operating purely in the realm of the spirit, your mind, which is the realm of the soul is not in charge.

Even though Satan himself is a spirit, he has lost all his authority in the spiritual realm.  He can not fight you in the spiritual realm anymore. But he can battle you in the mind.

1^st Corinthian 10:13   There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

When you are tempted, God will give you the ability to endure the temptation as your way of escape.

That means, satin has to operate in this natural soulish realm, and even in the natural realm he has no authority.

But he can deceive you, deception is all he has. That doesn’t mean that he will just pack up and go home. He is still going to try to steal, kill and destroy you and your relationship with Jesus. He is going to try to do it by gaining control of your mind.

If you’re going to take a successful stand against the devil, you will have to do it on the battlefield of your mind.

If we start looking away from Jesus, our eyes will be deceived; we must keep Jesus in our sight.
